Stolas's POV:
As I rested my eyes while I laid on my surprisingly comfortable hospital bed, I thought about Blitz.
I wondered if he would actually truly come. Probably not. He's always very busy. He probably doesn't have the time to see someone like me. He probably doesn't want to.I turned to lay on my back and stared at the ceiling.
"I wonder if that Striker fellow will come after me again in the future. Probably not. Stella must've called him off on my death for some reason." I thought to myself. I sighed and looked at my wounds.
"These should heal in about a week, maybe two." I thought. Since I am of higher class, I heal easier and at a much quicker pace than most others.
As I was about to shut my eyes again out of sheer boredom, a knock came at my door.A nurse walked in with a clipboard and walked over to me.
"Hello Stolas, there is someone here to see you. Goes by the name Blitzo." She told me.
"THE "O" IS SILENT ASSHOLE!" I heard Blitz's voice muffled past the wall. My heart practically jumped out of my chest.
"Oh.. right. Uhm, send him in." I said. The nurse walked over to the door and opened it for Blitz to come in before she walked out after him. Blitz walked over to the side of the bed with one hand behind his back and the other in his pocket fishing something out.
"I uh, I got your text." Blitz said showing me the screen.
"Oh, I see." I nodded, then he returned his phone in his pocket.
"What's that behind your back?" I asked.
"Hmm? Oh! Just uh, just this." He said and handed me a flower. "I didn't wanna spend too much time or money going out and getting you a whole thing y'know. Not that I don't care or anything y'know, but I mean I didn't wanna get a whole bunch just for them to die in a couple weeks, and I didn't want to spend too much time looking for a place with fake flowers." He explained in a hurry as if he was nervous. "Wanted to make sure you were okay." He finished as I gently took the flower and held it close.
"Thank you Blitz." I smiled. He scratched his neck and avoided eye contact.
"Yeah well I just picked a random one outside the hospital." He said as I laid the flower on my lap. "So, how bad is it?" He asked sounding nervous.
"Oh, it's alright. It looks much worse than it is. I'm quite fine really. Besides this should all heal in about a week or two." I explained. He nodded slowly.
"Stolas I'm.. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help." Blitz said quietly as he looked down.
"Oh, Blitz it's fine, you had to take your daughter to her doctor's appointment. I understand. But at least you still cared and did something. You sent your little imployees (see what I did there?) to help me and the good thing is that I'm alright." I comforted him. He smiled slightly and looked around the hospital room.
"So uh, is it boring here or what?" He asked.
"It's very boring. But I'm glad you're here. I thought you weren't going to come." I answered.
"Why didn't you think I'd come?" Blitz asked gripping the bed railing and releasing while biting his lip. His tail swayed back and forth hovering over the cold tiled floor even moving some of the petals while doing so.
"Well sometimes when I invite you to do certain things, you don't come. Plus you didn't respond." I answered nervously.
"Sorry." Blitz said quietly.
"It's quite alright Blitz, I'm not mad at you." I said and slowly lifted my hand to Blitz's on the railing, and he let me.
"Well good, the last thing we want is an injured bird in a hospital bed fuming at me." Blitz laughed quietly.
"So, how did your daughter's doctor appointment go?" I asked. He shuddered.
"Ha! So much fun. See, Loony hates shots, like a lot. So much she wouldn't sit still or let the doctor do it. We had to chase her all around the room and even wrestle her to the floor to get the shot. Afterwards she had to wear a cone, but at least she got a sucker out of it." Blitz explained laughing at the painful parts.
"That did not sound like fun." I said with a smile.
"Yeah, no fucking shit. Today was just peachy." Blitz said smiling.
"Well besides you getting kidnapped, what else were you doing today?" Blitz asked.
"Was going to get divorced but then I got tied on the back of a horse." I answered without emotion.
"Oh... damn. Don't worry, next time I see Striker I blow his dipshit face right open like a piñata!" Blitz exclaimed. I laughed. And we continued talking for about another hour before Blitz had to go.
"Well it's almost 5, gotta head home. I uh- I hope you get better soon though Stolas." Blitz said and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"Oh right, okay." I said before he turned around.
"Blitz."
"Yeah?" He turned around before walking away.
"Thank you for coming, I don't think you know how much that means to me." I said as I sat up.
"Yeah no problem." Blitz said as he took a step towards me.
I don't really know why I did what I am about to do, but I did.
I quickly wrapped my arms around Blitz and hugged him close to me. He was stiff at first but relaxed and hugged back while his tail made a heart shape. When we departed from the hug I kissed his head and laid back down. He left the room without another word and left me in the hospital room feeling better than before he arrived. I moved my hand to next to my lap and grabbed the flower that Blitz had given to me and blushed as I held it close and tried to rest.
