26: ✨FAMILY PICNIC IN THE STARS✨

Blitz's POV: 

     "Ugh, do I have to come? Why can't just you Stolas and Via go?" Loona complained as she walked out the apartment door with me behind her. 

"Because, this is for our family! And that includes you Loony, so you're coming with us. Besides, you don't even know where we're going." I exclaimed as I locked the door and walked with Loona outside. 

"Right and I'm sure it just wouldn't be as much fun if I didn't go." Loona scoffed. 

"It wouldn't! Besides I'm sure you'll really like the place. And I bet Via would like to see you again, it's been a hot minute since all of us went out somewhere together. It'll be nice." I said as I messaged Stolas to make the portal to the palace. 

Loona rolled her eyes once again and pulled out her own phone while we waited for the portal to be made.

"How come you don't want to come?" I asked curiously while stowing away my phone. "It's just a picnic, nothing extreme. And it'll just be us, no one else will be there and no one will even see us." I explained. Loona didn't respond for a moment, but right before she seemed like she was going to say something, the portal was made. 

"You don't have to answer that. Just come with us, I promise it'll be fun!" I said and walked through the portal after her, and into the bedroom where Stolas and Via were waiting. 

"Oh hello dears, I'm sorry the portal was a little late. I thought this would be a perfect time for Via to practice making one." Stolas greeted me and Loona as we walked over to them. 

"It's fine. Is everything already there or?" I asked. 

"Yes! Everything is already set up there." Stolas said practically jumping with excitement. 

"And you kept your beak shut right? Via doesn't know where it's at either?" I asked nodding my head at Via while our daughters talked a little. 

"Yes yes she doesn't know of where we're going." Stolas reassured me and grabbed his grimoire. 

"Okay, can we please know where we're going now?" Octavia asked slightly excited as well. 

"You'll see soon enough." I said. 

"How long is it going to take to get there?" Loona asked looking up from her phone only for a moment to hear the answer. 

"Oh barely any time at all! I can promise it." Stolas smiled as he searched for the spell. Loona nodded acknowledging that and went back to her phone. 

"Did you find it yet?" I asked after a couple minutes. 

"Just a second, I'm sure it's riiiiiight..." He said while flipping the pages faster until he stopped at one and pointed at the spell, "right here!" He said and ushered us all closer together. 

"Okay seriously where are we going?" Loona asked and pocketed her phone as Stolas made a portal above us. 

"Just relax, I think I know." Octavia said as we all looked up into the portal. 

Loona gripped my hand tightly as soon as we got lifted through the portal. We were soon landed on a rocky planet that was uninhabited. The planet was barren except for a little picnic setup that was a little far from where we were all standing. 

"I knew it!" Octavia celebrated as the portal above us started to slowly disappear. 

I looked down at Loona's hand still tightly gripped around my own. I looked up at her as she slowly relaxed with her new surroundings. 

"Loony do you want me to-" But I was interrupted by Loona squeezing the life out of my hand. 

"Don't. Say. A, fucking word about this, ever." Loona said, refusing to loosen her grip around my hand as well as refusing to make eye contact. 

"Yep, yep got it, okay." I said in pain before she slowly, barely loosened her grip. 

"So, Via do you come here often?" Loona asked as we started walking toward the picnic. 

"Yeah, sometimes my dad brings me here." Via said as she looked around at all the stars and planets. 

"This place is actually, not that bad." Loona said as she hesitantly let go of my hand. 

"Y'know I was actually the one to suggest to bring ya guys here." I said. 

"Who suggested the picnic?" Via asked. Stolas looked back at me and we took a moment to reply. 

"Uhh, I don't know. I think it was just something that happened." I shrugged. 

"Yeah I don't either of us really came up with the idea. Anyway we're almost there." Stolas said cheerfully as we approached the setup. 

"Did you get actually good food too? Not just rats?" I asked before we all sat down on the blanket covering the rocky ground. 

"Of course darling, I've got plenty for you and for Loona." He said as he opened the basket with different kinds of things for the picnic. As I finished my own, and Loona's plate I was about to ask Loona if she was going to eat but stopped in my tracks when I saw her staring up at the beautiful sky. I sat next to her with my plate and handed hers to her in her lap. 

"So, do you like it here?" I asked as I took a bite out of my sandwich. She grinned slightly and looked away from the sky for a moment to look at me. 

"Yeah, it's pretty nice. How'd you know I'd like it here?" She asked before returning her gaze to the sky, blanketed with millions of brightly glowing stars, planets and moons. 

"Just a feeling I guess. Besides, it's a very memorable place." I said and took another bite. 

"Did you and Stolas come here before or..." She asked before starting to eat a little of her food. 

"Yeah, he brought me here at some point a while ago. I brought up that it would be nice if we all went sometime, and he agreed." I explained. She nodded slowly, still mesmerized by the colorfully lit sky. 

"Thanks, for... making me come here." She said before taking a bite out of her own sandwich. 

"Yeah, no problem. We can come here again if you'd like." I said. 

"That sounds nice. I'd like that." She said. We were a little silent while eating the rest of our meals and continued the picnic with a lot of fun. I already can't wait for the next time we come here.
