The Avengers still live in the tower. The compound wasn't built. It has more than enough room for all the Avengers.
PETER PARKER
Aunt May was away for about a month, so I had to stay at Mr. Stark's, which is to say- Avengers Tower.
And, most of the Avengers were out on the mission. Which includes Mr. Stark. So, technically, I was living with Pepper, but right now, she was in a business meeting, so, I'm alone in the upper floors-the lower floors had the workers working. Other than a scary dude.
Whose name is Bucky Barnes.
Also called the Winter Soldier.
Well, not anymore, but you understand, don't you?
He was in his room, so I didn't need to worry about bumping into him. Mr. Stark had made it clear that he didn't want me interacting with the assassin.
I ran to the kitchen, got myself some leftover Pizza and ran down to the training room. When I got there, I heard gunshots.
I peeked in and saw that Mr. Barnes was firing a rifle, jumping over, gliding under a- a... what?
It wasn't any of the robots I had seen here at the tower. Those were metal humanoid-looking and were then coloured green in colour. This was a robot, like a robot-robot. It was bronze in colour and was at least 25 feet tall, had a square head, and a square-like body.
It looked like the things I made without the right resources to make humanoid-looking robots.
"Whose is it?" I couldn't stop myself. I cursed myself, I may have spooked him.
"Mine." He turned to look at me, as if he already knew I was there. He pressed a button on a remote and the robot stopped moving. Well, he didn't look spooked.
"Did you make it? When? How? I have never seen you go into any labs to get the stuff needed? How-""You already asked 'How', kid," he chuckled. "Yes I did make it. When? Well... I started it before you people found me. I was just making the body, at that time. I may have stolen some stuff from the interns on floor 8 to finish it. And, I didn't need to go to the lab. I found everything I needed downstairs."
"So, you're a science dude, and didn't tell anyone? You should show the robot to to Dr. Banner and Mr. Stark. You can make even better robots. Maybe they would even help you-" I said, trying to persuade Mr. Barnes to show the robot to my mentors.
"Stark? Helping me?" he laughed, "Kid, your delusional. And I am not a 'Science Dude'. I made the robots to help me practice."
"Why don't you use the Stark-bots everyone else uses?" I asked, now confused.
"Will Stark like me blowing up his 'Stark-bots'?" He replied.
"Of course, all the other A-"
"I am not a Avenger, Mr. Parker. The only reason I'm staying here is because Stark wants to keep an eye on me." He was laughing again. Some of his hair- which was mostly tied back- fell from the hair-tie. Oh Lord, he is scary. Wait a second, how does he know my name?
"How do you know my name?"
"Stark only put restrictions from entering in his lab and the Avengers' rooms. He forgot about the vent. And that his AI is really nice, if you talk to her nicely." He said, before he bent down, opened a panel on the robot's ankle and pressed a button. The whole robot started shrinking until it was as small as my palm, he then placed it in his jeans' pocket.
"I hope you don't tell the others about our little conversation, Mr. Parker. Au revoir" He gave a two fingered salute and left- hands in his pocket and the rifle just visible from the inner pocket of his black leather jacket. As if he hadn't just been battling a giant-bronze 20 feet robot.
And then I realized something: he wasn't panting.
