Thirty Two

Layla knew that things had been a little hard with Sami lately. Ebony was teething and she hadn't been sleeping which had been causing tension with her and Sami.

She knew she wanted to make it work. But it wasn't easy. She loved him and she loved how they had a perfect little family.

But there had been tension with them both which is what Layla didn't want. She didn't blame him though. Ebony wasn't sleeping and it was keeping them both up.

Layla was worried about her sister too. She knew how Warren was getting his claws back into her. And she knew how he had hurt het in the past. It was the last thing Layla wanted for her sister. Especially knowing she was pregnant.

It hadn't been easy for Layla lately. She knew that she felt as though it was all getting too much. She felt like she wasn't a good mum. But Sami had assured her she was.

All she knew was that things weren't easy. And she just needed to somehow make it all with Sami. Knowing it wasn't just for her. But for her little girl too.

Morning came and she was sitting on the sofa with Ebony. The little girl had been awake since 3am with her teething.

Layla was tired. And she had no idea how she was even functioning. She looked up as Sami walked into the room. She smiled. "Hey. Good morning," she said.

"Morning babe. I'm sorry I didn't hear her last night," Sami told her.

Layla shook her head. She smiled. "It's okay babe. It honestly is. I know you have work," she said as she stood from the sofa and walked over to him. "We're in this together."

Sami kissed her and smiled. "I'll take her tonight. I've got the day off tomorrow."

Layla shook her head. "I'm going to ask my mum to have her for the night. So we can both get some sleep. It's the only thing I can think of," she said as she kissed his lips.

"If you're sure."

"Yeah. I'm sure."

Layla walked into her mum's house. She saw Mia sitting on the sofa. "Hey. Where's mum?" She asked.

Mia sighed. She took a bite of her cookie. "Mum is currently off on a weekend away. She's back Sunday. Why?" She

"Oh crap. I was gonna ask her to have Ebony. Sami and I need to get sleep."

Mia shrugged and smiled. "I'll have her. Gives me some practice. And it stops me from going after Warren," she said as she smiled.

"Are you sure?"

"Duh. I need to get some practice in."

Layla walked into the flat. She had just taken Ebony to Mia. She saw Sami on the sofa. "So. We are alone," she said as she walked into the kitchen.

Sami smirked and nodded. "It would appear we are," he said as he grabbed her hips and pulled her to him. He started kissing her neck. "You amaze me you know."

Layla smiled and groaned. She knew how she needed it to work. But she had no idea how she was about to find herself fighting to save her relationship.
