She finally reached the point where she couldn't take it anymore.
She needed badly to be alone.
It was too much for her in one day.
She chose to sit in the library A/V room.
Mrs. Franklin gave her the key.
She spent 12 minutes strolling the isles, looking for a movie.
She finally decided.
It took her 31 minutes to figure out how to work the film projector and 14 more minutes to clear the immense layers of dirt enough for her to see.
She finally got it.
She took out her snacks and drink set up the picnic blanket on the cold linoleum floor.
After making the correct adjustments to the system, she was finally started the film rolling.
The projector roared to life.
She let out a big sigh. For the first time all day, she was content.
The dialogue to Scarface began.
Then he came waltzing in.
"You're back again." He said, shoving his hands in his pockets and leaning against the door.
"Obviously." She said, watching the movie still.
She quickly grew annoyed with him because his shadow messed up the image of the projector.
Instead of the movie, she saw his silhouette.
"What's this?" He nodded towards the movie playing. He seemed somewhat interested and somewhat unsure of what to say.
"None of your business, Calum." She said, her mouth full of chips.
She wanted him to leave. She had to deal with him enough in school earlier that day. She didn't need him interrupting the only thing she looked forward to during the week.
"You bet it is, Nora."
