The funeral was short, quick. Nora couldn't handle anything longer than that. Seeing her grandmother so lifeless was the worst thing to happen to her in a long time. Her best friend passed on and now she had to deal with it in the only way she knew how.

Walking towards the AV room, she saw the lights from under the door flickering before going dim.

"You're telling me that Veronica is just another villain?" Calum said over shuffling.

"No, she's an anti-hero." Luke's voice chimed in.

Nora opened the door to see Calum and Luke setting up a tent. They were still talking when they both looked up to see Nora, puffy eyed and pajama-clad, standing in the doorway.

They didn't know what to say to her. They were both at the funeral with her earlier in the day but this seemed like she was left out of something. As if they were caught red-handed.

"What the fuck, guys?" She said, surprised at her own swearing. Her grandmother hadn't liked to hear swearing so she normally didn't but this felt like they were doing something behind her back. This was her thing and they were setting something up without here.

In the silence, the microwave beeped. Nora realized she hadn't even heard it humming.

"I called you and you didn't pick up. We were setting up and planned to come pick you up for an 80's movie marathon..." Calum said, dropping his section of the blanket over the edge of the chair.

Luke grabbed the popcorn out of the microwave, popping open the bag. The steam hit him in the face and he made a face that made Nora want to laugh. But she couldn't find it in herself to even crack a smile when she felt so terrible. A tear rolled down her cheek.

"You're lucky I like you Calum. Otherwise, I'd tell you to get out." She forced herself to put on a grin at the gesture they were making for her but she didn't feel happy. She felt like the last thing she wanted to do was be around them. But it was either be here with them or be around grieving relatives who didn't even visit her grandmother when she was alive and ailing.

Nora hit play on the movie and sat down. Luke sat on her left, pouring popcorn from the bag into the bowl and Calum on her right, barely touching her leg with his own, she felt a little better.
