Evelyn called the RSPCA when she got back ot the house. She dialed right numbers and waited as the phone rang.

"RSPCA what is the situation?" a lady's voice spoke on the other end of the phone.

"My ex-husband abuses greyhounds. He is associated with a company that is cruel to their racing dogs. Some of the dogs in the races are put down and they all are kept in terrible conditions. It's the same with the dogs here," Evelyn explained.

"Alright, do you know the name of the company or the location of your ex-husband's house?" the woman asked. Evelyn thought for a moment before replying.

"Gregory's hounds; Top Dog Racing."

"The address of the house is 57 Yorkshire Rd, Westminster North England," she added.

"Thank you for this information, now what is your name?" the lady asked.

"Evelyn Bailey."

"Alright, we will send officers to the address," the RSPCA women said ans hung up.

Evelyn put her phone down and looked out the window at the dogs. They would be free shortly.

Two RSPCA officers got out of the car and walked into the yard. They immediately looked concerned. The dogs were caged up in their kennels and it smelled like faeces and old dog food.

The dogs were barking at the officers. Obviously unhappy with them on their territory. But when Evelyn went over and patted them they calmed down.

"This place is a mess," one officer said.

"I can't believe he leaves his dogs here like this. We should take notes and tell the chairman," the other officer said. "He'll want to know about this."

One officer wrote down notes while the other checked the kennels. Evelyn waited and watched anxiously. She knew Jaxon would return any minute.

"Alright Mrs. Bailey, we have all the information we need and we will be back to take the dogs. Under Crime Act 1900 we are allowed to take any dog that is being neglected or abused," said the first officer.

"Alright, thank you Andrew and Pete, you are very good officers. My husband is a police officer, you might know him, Officer Tony."

"Yeah I know him," Andrew said. "He's a good man, you're lucky to have him instead of the ass who is neglecting these dogs."

Evelyn chuckled and shook both their hands. Then she followed them to the door and waved goodbye.
