"Yung naghatid sayo kagabi, yun ba yung boss mo?" Tanong ni Ate Aira habang naglalagay sya ng sunscreen sa face nya. Again? That was the third time she'd asked that since I arrived last night. I propped my elbow on the table and looked at the cheese bread roll in my hand.

"Yeah, Ate," I mumbled, taking a bite of the cheesy bread. Ate Aira nodded nonchalantly, so I shrugged. Muling kong naalala ang muka ni Aizenberg. She's always so serious, but when she talks, it's like a calming balm... stop! What the heck am I thinking? fantasizing her like this? I'm going crazy!

"I see, ang bata pa ng boss mo. Akala ko kasi yung boss mo matatanda na kagaya kina Queen Elizabeth o King Charles. Usually kasi sa mga mansion, ganon ang madalas na nakatira." Saad ni Ate, na ngayon naman naglalagay na sya ng lipstick sa labi nya.

I chuckled, actually ganyan din ang ineexpect ko nung una. Akala ko may dadatnan akong matatanda sa mansion na yun pero walang oldies sa mansion. Infact, the older one there was Chef Facundo and Miss Herman, who's been a servant at the Aizenberg mansion for a long time-longer than Chef Facundo. But they're still fit and strong, they're probably just in their 50's.

"Ready to go?" she asked, her brow furrowed as she looked at me. "Nag toothbrush ka na kanina tapos kumain ka nanaman ng pandesal?" she chided me.

I stood up to brush my teeth again. Kung hindi pa ako kikilos siguradong magagalit si Ate, kaya kahit gusto ko pang kumain, hininto ko na. Well, It's just one of my weird quirks. Yung nagtoothbrush na, tapos kakain ulit, then toothbrush ulit tapos kain ulit. It's weird, I know and I've been doing this since I was a kid, and I still have that ways.

After I brushed my teeth, Ate Aira and I headed out. Sabi ni Ate malapit lang daw dito yung bahay na titignan namin. Yung katrabaho nya ang nagturo sa kanya ng house na yun kasi open for occupancy daw tapos hindi pa ganon kamahal ang rent. Apparently, the owners had moved to Manila, so they decided to rent it out.  Ate Aira didn’t want to move too far from this area because it’s close to her work, and it’s also close to the mansion, so it seemed like a good fit for both of us.

"Ilang minutes ang walk Ate?"

"Ten minutes walk lang. Malapit pa yun sa market tapos sakayan ng bus kaya pag gusto natin pumunta ng mall o sa kabilang Town madali lang makasakay."

"Okay pala, malapit sa lahat."

Well, I guess it's perfect. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly so we can move in soon. We need to get out of this cramped place. It's really hard to move around when you're squeezed in like sardines. Unting kilos may matatabig, tapos pag minalas ka pa, asukal o asin ang matabig mo kelangan mo pang ilabas lahat ng luggages para lang makapag-vaccum ng sahig.
