"ARE YOU OKAY?"

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

A flight to Jeju.

One..no four tickets to Jeju.

Andi held her father's hand the whole flight through. Mira and Sora both sat by each other, holding one another's arm to give each other comfort. The hour flight felt like it was taking years for it to land. The drive to the hospital felt even longer.

Once they had reached up to their mother's room, the doctors knew it was them just by how they were rushing to get to her. "Kwon family?" the doctor said, stopping the four of them. "I'm her husband." Kenji stepped forward, worry covering his eyes. "Is she okay?" Mira asked, standing behind Andi.

"Her heart stopped momentarily, but we were able to get her heart back and pumping." the doctor sighed. "She doesn't have much time left. Her condition is getting worse each day and she's not able to breathe on her own. I'm afraid she has less than a month left." the doctor said. "There's nothing else..you can do..?" Sora muttered.

"A heart transplant, but the cancer cells had already become malignant. There would be no point in ordering in a heart transplant if the cancer had already taken place into spreading."

"Oh god.." Andi quickly entered the room, seeing her mother taking deep breaths, her eyes closed as if she were sleeping. "If you were to take her off those machines, the chances of her living would immediately go down to none." the doctor said, staring at the four of them as Mira turned around, not wanting to face her truth.

"She only has a month left?"

"Less than a month."

"Mom..?" Andi muttered, her eyes filled with tears as Sora followed behind her, shoving her aside. "She's not your mom." Sora wiped her tears, taking Andi's spot while she stared at her in shock. "She's the closest thing i'll ever get to having as my mom. She may be my aunt but she treated me as her own daughter too." Andi then rushed out of the room.

"Andi. Where are you going?" Kenji followed after her, leaving Mira alone with Sora. "To get air..I can't be inside right now.." Andi said, eyes searching for an elevator, immediately finding one down the hall. "Please don't go right now Andi. Andi. Andi i'm serious. Please don't leave." Kenji reached to grab her arm, causing her to halt.

"God that isn't even my real name.."

She shoved him off, pressing the elevator button before seeing that it was coming up. "We need you. Your mom needs you Andi. Just stay with us?" Kenji said, waiting for her to respond back, but she kept silent, patiently waiting for the elevator doors to open. She heard it ding, getting ready to go inside up until she stopped herself.

Was it a coincidence? It shouldn't have been a coincidence, meeting up in such a place like this. A hospital with dying patients specifically on this floor. There was no way. Andi was sure he was busy, so why is it that he had taken an hour flight from Seoul to Jeju?

Though the red in his eyes told her enough, that maybe he was there to see someone he loved too. "Andi..?" he managed to say. His throat already tightened at the news he received. "Jisung?" she muttered, stepping aside for him to head out as he saw his sister call out for him.
