☆There the four sat in the hotel room as visiting hours were over. Andi laid in the bed, Mira with her, hugging the older girl. Sora was asleep while their father sat on the chair between the two beds. Andi couldn't sleep. She felt taunted.
"Andi.."
"Yeah?"
"Do you..want to talk?"
Kenji glanced over to the girl, she didn't move an inch from her spot. She couldn't move. She felt tied down to the bed. "I don't know.." Andi managed to say. Mira stared at her sister's back, she could see her start to shake, the beginning of her loud sobs. "I miss them.." she mumbled, hugging herself as she brought her knees to her chest.
♡
The bittersweet air hung around them as they walked out the hotel. There wasn't much they could say or do to fix the events that happened the day before. "Are you girls hungry..?" Kenji tried making light of the situation, looking back at his daughters and seeing the gloomy expressions on their faces.
Sora glanced over to Andi, the girl covering her face with the hoodie she wore. "You can't cry." she said, giving the girl a shove. Mira quickly pushed her back, watching her sister hit the wall. "Stop it!" Mira yelled. "I don't know why you're so mean to her! I've lived with her my whole life and she's done nothing to you."
"She can cry all she wants. She knew Mom the same amount of years as I did. She can cry. You don't get to be the judge of whether she can cry or not. Andi can cry. Let her cry!" Mira threw her bag at her older sister, letting it fall to the floor as Sora stayed quiet. "Mira..stop.." her father said, gently taking her hand and pulling her back.
Sora looked up from the ground, realizing the empty spot that Andi was standing in was empty. "Jiseun..where's Jiseun.." she mumbled, wiping her tears as Mira looked at her confused. "Jiseun?" Mira repeated, glancing at her father while his eyes widened. "Who's Jiseun..?"
Andi kept walking, she didn't know where to, but far enough to clear her mind. Her sobs echoed down the empty street, there wasn't much she could do. She wondered why Sora never looked at her like her own sister. Why she always targeted her over everything.
She wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings to realize someone was calling her. Only until she felt herself being pulled back. Her gaze set on the street in front of her, cars passing by while an arm hugged her torso. "Jesus christ..I thought you.." he began to say. "Are you okay?"
Andi froze, turning around and meeting his eyes. They were much different than yesterday. Today they were pearly white, no sign of crying just worry. "I was calling you, but I guess you didn't hear me.." Jisung mumbled. I guess he didn't leave yet. Andi quickly wiped her tears.
"Is everything okay? I texted you, but you didn't reply.."
"I..wasn't on my phone. Sorry.."
Jisung gently pulled her closer inside the sidewalk, standing in front of her while she tried catching her breath. "Where were you going?" he asked her, patting her sweater down, dusting off the small rocks. "I don't know." Andi replied, looking up at him with shaky eyes.
"Do you..want to go back to your family..?"
Andi stayed quiet.
