Plot: Fallowkit is a young ShadowClan kit, who loves to play fighting with her littermates. One cold leaf-bare day, during a playfight , her brother Driftkit gets nearly snatched up by an owl. The experience causes her to fear becoming a warrior , not wanting to see any other of her Clanmates to get hurt so she decides to become the medicine cat apprentice.
After finishing her training, Fallowleap feels like she has finally found her place in the Clan, but there's something she can't fight: The fact that she wants to become a mother, yet it's forbidden for medicine cats.
One day a border patrol brings back a litter of four newborn kits, telling the leader that the mother had been killed by a monster. Could this be Fallowleap's chance to experience motherhood?
