Plot: Dewkit is a young SkyClan kit with great ambition: To become the best leader his Clan has ever seen, even greater than the great founder of the Clan, Skystar, or his grandfather, wise old Whitestar.
After gaining his apprentice name, Dewpaw gets cocky during a training session with an older apprentice, causing her to get hurt worse than he thought possible. As a punishment, Whitestar delays his warrior assessments for two moons, causing his littermates to get their names before him.
After finally becoming a warrior Dewpatch realizes that he started to develop feelings for the she-cat he had injured but she doesn't seem to feel the same way, pining after a RiverClan tom instead. He really wants her as his mate and comes up with a plan to finally gain her attention: He has to become the best mentor and then deputy. Will he succeed?
