Persephone Chase woke up confused. She laid on a uncomfortable bed in a stark white room, wearing a matching bright white hospital gown. She winced as she felt a prick in her arm, noticing an iv laid attached to her veins.

"Hello?" she called out, feeling dizzy as the bright light made her feel slightly nauseous, then suddenly, two familiar faces appeared in the room. Cashmere and Gloss.

Their bright pink and gold outfits hurt Persephone's eyes.

"Oh thank God, we were all worried," Gloss said as he neared Persephone's bed.

"How are you feeling sweetheart?" Cashmere kindly asked as she sat beside the newest Victor, rubbing her back.

"I don't know, I mean everything is numb," Persephone said, inspecting the liquid going straight into her iv.

"Yeah, they have you hyped up on morphling. After you were escorted out of the arena, you fainted. You've been out for two days, kid," Gloss said, squatting in front of the girl.

Persephone's eyes widened as she heard how long she was out for. "Why two days? How bad was I injured?" she questioned, surprised.

"The doctors said you had a lot of cuts, especially a deep one from when you took on the rest of the career pack. And mixed with the lack of sleep, and freezing temperatures you were in, your body was exhausted," Cashmere explained gently, as she remained glued to Persephone's side.

"Do you remember everything that happened, Percy?" Gloss asked, looking at the bandages on the girl's body.

"I remember how quick it was. One minute we were discussing how we would all split off with our district allies and battle it out in the end, and the next minute they all attacked me. They were teasing me, saying I was the weakest and that they were the reason I was alive still. I thought Lux would help me, but he just stayed back and watched," Persephone said quietly, thinking of her fellow District One tribute.

"What else happened?" Cashmere asked, holding onto the young girl's faces, feeling like there was more to the story.

"I was on the ground and they circled me, and then the next thing I knew I was holding Ember's head, blood all over my body," Persephone cried out, remembering the blood that drenched her.

"You don't remember the final fight?" Gloss asked.

"Nothing, it's like I blacked out," Persephone muttered as she looked down.

"Well, the only thing that matters is that you survived," Cashmere said as both of the siblings stood up and looked at her.

"And that your interview is tonight." Gloss said.

"What? My interview?" Persephone asked confused.

"Because you were out for so long, the Capitol wants the interview done as soon as possible. You then have your Victor Tour and the Gleaming Gala, that presents you as the new Victor. This interview is the first of many," Cashmere said, trying to put it lightly.

"Yeah, the team is right outside the door to take you to your suite. They need to get you ready as soon as possible," Gloss said as they helped Persephone up.

"Let's get you ready," Cashmere said as she kissed the girl's forehead.

Persephone felt uncomfortable in the tight pink dress they had put her in. The dress had a heart cutout in the middle of her chest, surrounded by diamonds, with the end of the dress covered in lace, ending right at the very top of her thighs.
