Chapter 13 - The Merger

Jim's branch has closed and he is merging with Dunder Mifflin, Everyone welcomes him back and things are also pretty awkward, he gives Ryan his desk and he looks to his right to see that Jess's desk is empty and he heads through the office to try and find her, he ends up taking her desk until she gets here from wherever she is. when he doesn't her see at all, he heads over to Phyllis. "Phyllis, Hey. Ummm, so I was just wondering if Jess is going to be in today, or is she off sick, or is she coming in later?" Phyllis turns back around and doesn't talk to him. Dwight pops up next him. "Oh, are you trying to find sweet little Jessica? Aw, poor you, She left a couple of months ago. According to Michael, she left right after Casino night, and the only person who still spoke to her is Phyllis. Is Jim going to cry now?"Wait, what do you mean she left, like as in she's gone?"She took a job in Maryland. Looks like she took my advice after all." Jim looks at the camera with a sad look and then send him an apologetic look, and he nods at them and goes to get himself a cup of coffee.

Jim goes to see Toby. "Hey Toby, how are you, man?"Hey Jim, I'm really good, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry about Jessica leaving. She looked super upset on the day she left, and I hope she was okay." " I think she was okay just tired, I didn't actually know she left until today, I haven't spoken to her in months actually so yeah...But I've seen a lot of new people and I was just wondering if you know if she was going to be one of them, or If you had an email address, I could write too or maybe like a phone number I could call."I'm not allowed to give out any information, but I'm sure you will see her soon. I'm sorry." "Nah it's cool, man, thanks." He walks away.

Michael calls everyone into the conference room to have a little dinner for the new people. Jess walks through the door and sees no one in the office. She hears people in the conference and tries not to disturb anyone. Phyllis is the first person to see her and screams, running to give her the biggest hug. " I missed you, pumpkin."I missed you too, Mama." Everyone looks over at Phyllis to see her hugging Jess, and the camera shows Jim, who has the biggest smile on his face, Oscar walks up next, giving her a massive hug. "I missed you."You too, Guncle!" "Guncle?"Yeah, Gay uncle." Oscar laughs at her as she turns around. "Hi everyone, Hi, people I have never met in my life, I hope I'm not interrupting anything" Everyone else comes to hug her and tells her they have missed her and wants to hear all about her trip. "No, of course not, how could you. It's so good to have you back. " Michael gives Jess a hug saying welcome back, which she reciprocates, "Glad to have you here, we have all missed you." I walk to Ryan and ruffle his hair, he gets up to hug me and spins me around as I laugh, Jim is giving the camera a confused look, not understanding how they became close. Phyllis leads me to sit with her. When I see Jim, I send him a smile, and he sends one back. I pick up two biscuits, one for me, and I pass the other one behind me to Kevin, which he accepts and sends me a thank you look while hugging me from behind.

"I'm back, did you guys miss me, I bet you did, It feels weird being filmed again but also like you guys didn't leave me at all....Australia was incredible and I had the best time, Ryan was also there with me, I saw him at the airport, he wanted to get away as him and Kelly broke up so I offer him Jim's ticket. We had an amazing time and look. I still got my tan, which is great. When I first got told that I would be coming back here, I wasn't exactly happy about it but I have missed everyone and I know everything that has gone on thanks to Phyllis, I know there is one person still to talk too but the time will come. I'm not in love with Jim anymore. Being away has opened my eyes. God, it is good to be back." She smiles brightly to the camera.
