Chapter 25

ALEX P.O.V.
"What do you mean you don't want to?!" I yell, everyone in the Starbucks stares at me, I felt embarrassed but seriously? He didn't want to?
"Don't you have anything better to do then stare?!" I yell and they go back to playing on there computers or chatting with there friends. I hate people.
"I don't want to tell you... She told me to strictly not tell you." He says with a serious look on his face. Why would she tell him, the cleaner boys brother, not to tell her own daughter it makes no sense.
"She has been missing or gone for 2 weeks either you tell me and we have no problems. Or I beat the shit out of you and make you tell me. Your choice." I say making sure I really got through to this kid.
"Fine! But not in public. Let's go back to your house." He says grabbing his drink and standing up out of our booth.
"Is it that serious? I'm kind of enjoying not being indoors." I say honestly. Kian and I never really left because we're scared of loosing or harming Ella. So it was really nice to just go out and get coffee.
"Do you want to know where your mom is or not?" He spat at me, earning a glare from his twin brother who seems uncomfortable.
"Fine." I say getting up and storming out of the amazing smelling coffee shop.
My curiosity drove me wild as we drove silently to my house. Where was my mom? Why has she been gone for 2 weeks? And most of all who was David?
"We're here." Beck says as he puts the car in park.
"I know this is my house if you don't remember." I said while getting out of the car and slamming the car door behind me. The questions I had are driving me wild and nobody really seemed to care.
"I didn't mean to upset you." Brent says unlocking my house. Some people are just really good at making me mad.
"You better start talking. Everything you know or your gonna get kicked out of my house real quick." I yell as Beck closes the door behind me and Brent.
"Okay, so what do you want to know exactly." He says sitting down on the couch across from me.
"Where is my mom. Who is David and when will she be back!" I say. He nods and takes a deep inhale when there's a loud pound on the door.
"You need to hide." Beck says to me as he lifts me up running up the stairs and throwing me in my room on my bed.
"Wait why-" I start to rant but soon get interrupted by Brent's hushed voice.
"Don't ask questions. I'll come up here when he leaves." He says and I scoff.
"Who!!" I yell and he covers my mouth looking me in my eyes with worry.
"David." He says and runs out of my room slamming my door. Why did I have to hide? This is my house, god dammit!
Hushed voices fill the house as I hear footsteps nearing the stairwell and make there way up.
I back up until I hit the wall causing my shelf to come crashing down.
"What the hell was that?" A male voice says. I'm guessing that's David and I couldn't wait to find out.
"There cat David." I hear one of the twins say. Most likely Brent being that it sounded deeper.
Something sparked inside me as I stood up from the ground. My feet had taken me to the door without me even realizing it.
My hand slowly made its way up to the door handle. Should I really do this. My breath begins to hitch as I hear them making there way down the stairs.
Slowly I made my hand twist the handle making a loud screeching noise.
My door slowly opened revealing Beck standing in the middle of the stairs seeming to be observing over somebody.
I exited my room walking over to the stairs, staying hidden but enough to see down the stairs.
"Where's her daughter?" David says turning looking over at Beck as he finishes walking down the stairs making his way to David.
"She has came around a few times but never stays long. Always asking questions about her mother." Beck says glancing up the stairs our eyes meeting.
"Don't tell her anything. It takes time fix what has happened. When she gets released she can know everything. I'll tell her myself, instead of the cleaner boys." David says. The boys both nod as I near myself to the old stair well.
Where was my mom, and why did she need to be released?
