ALEX P.O.V.
"Kian?!" Sam yells with a guilty expression on his face. Kian seems to have been frozen in time as he stares into Sam's eyes.
"You two know each other?" I say shocked. Kian nods as Sam looks at the ground.
"You lied to me." Kian says tears threatened to spill from his eyes, but he didn't let them.
"Kian, I'm so-" Sam begins but Kian interrupts him with a loud laugh and scoff.
"No your not! Ever since you got famous I AM INVISIBLE! I don't even get a text or a call! Nothing! Guess what?! While you have been touring and having the grandest time, I have been dealing with JC! He has cancer! I needed a friend and you disowned me! Like you were to good for me, but maybe you are to good for me! I'm worthless compared to you! So go on and live your life, without me in it!" Kian yells and tears start to pour out of his eyes. Sam looks defeated and hurt as Kian runs out of the small Starbucks.
"Sam. What's going on? Tell me right now!" I growl at Sam, he looks down at the ground avoiding eye contact from me.
"Who's that?" Sam whispers to the carrier in my arms that he lacked to notice, oh right. To busy fighting with Kian.
"Tell me what just happened and I will tell you. Better start talking right?" I say getting a bit aggressive with Sam.
"Kian and I have been friends for years but for some reason I haven't been talking to him, because well I'm famous! He asked me yesterday if I was coming into town anytime soon and I told him no.. Because I wanted it to be me and you! Because I like you.." Sam says fiddling with his lip ring.
"Sam.. We are just friends.." I say looking at his hurt face. "Kian is my boyfriend.. And this is Ella. Her mom got in a car crash because of me so we are taking care of her. Sam why! Kian obviously still thinks you guys are friends so why would you look down on him?" I say sitting across from the heartbroken boy. He shrugs and looks up at me. His eyes were blood shot red, and his nose was like a cherry.
"If I knew I would tell you." He mumbles. "It's best if I get going don't ya think. Already caused enough damage for a few weeks in a matter of minutes." He says getting up and pushing in his chair. He was right, but he was wrong. If he ran away nothing would get fixed, but if he stayed things might get worse. I was confused and I had no clue where Kian had went. But he left his truck.
"You have to stay. Nothing will get better if you run away." I say getting up and grabbing Ella's car seat and grabbing Sams shoulder spinning him around
"Nothing will get worse if I leave. Just let me go." Sam cries. I hated seeing him like this, I had only seen him one other time like this and it was a video about his grandpa dying but that was beside the point.
"Trust me, please help me go find Kian. You know him better than I do. Where does he go when he gets upset?" I plead to Sam. He breathes out slowly and walks out the door standing by his truck. I smiled and walked out the door of Starbucks over to Sam.
"Thank you." I say as he opens the door to Kian's truck.
"I think I know where he is." Sam says as I start the truck buckling Ella back in.
"Where?" I say looking over at him, he looks down and sighs.
"The house he lived in when his parents died.. It's abandon now, go there." He said, there was something about his voice that was broken.
"Where is it?" I mumble looking over at him. He looks off into the distance.
"Just go straight." He says looking over at me, I nod and pull out of the parking lot.
Something about Sam was off, besides the fact that I had rejected him and his best friend just ripped into him.
Something different happened when he brought up Kian's family, something dark. Something he didn't want to remember.
"We're here, and so is he." He says, looking at the old house, the door open slightly.
"Let's go then." I mumble.
