recap: Chigiri hummed. "Enough with all the sad stuff. I heard you saved the prince?""Apparently. I didnt even know he was the prince until a few hours ago. Gosh, I feel so embarrassed." Reo blushed. Chigiri laughed, it was the first time he had seen his friend flustered in a while.

Nagi woke up the next morning feeling destroyed. After hearing his father was in critical condition, he couldn't think properly without knowing if his father would be alright or not.
He looked out his hospital room window, looking at all his people walking around, their houses demolished from the attack. He couldn't believe that he was becoming the next king not even being able to protect his kingdom.
"..me in. I promise you i'm not an intruder!!" Nagi heard some commotion outside his room before his hospital room door slammed open, revealing Reo, "Heya Prince Nagi! How are you doing?"
"Sorry sir, this intruder barged into your room and we couldn't stop him." The nurse apologized as she tried to drag Reo out, "I'm telling you Miss, I'm not an intruder!"
Nagi sighed, "Leave him be. He's a special guest." The nurse let go, confused, before she left the room. "Thank you Sir, if you didn't step in I might've lost my cool and punched her or something." Reo paused, "Just kidding! I could never hit a female!" Reo laughed, trying to lighten up the mood.
Nagi looked at Reo, unfazed. "Sorry, that was totally unnecessary." Reo apologized. He stood there for a few minutes, not speaking as he didn't know what to say, and if he did say something, it would just come off as rude.
"..I know I'm in no place to say this, but I'm sure your father will be alright, he's the king after all," Reo hesitated, "'Legends never die', ever heard of that saying?" Reo asked, looking a bit worried.
Nagi sighed, "You don't have to be worried, I'm fine. It just came to me as a surprise I guess." Reo took a deep breath, "Thank goodness. I thought you were gonna kill me if I kept talking."
Nagi laughed, "I could never kill the person who saved my life." Reo smiled, "That's my job. Keeping people safe!"
A nurse suddenly walked in, coming to check on Nagi, and to give him some news, "As you may know already, your father is in critical condition, but, after doing some tests and giving him some treatment, we can say that there's a high percent chance everything will be fine."
Nagi's face lit up after hearing that information. Reo looked up at him and smiled, it was nice seeing him happy.
"Thank you so much Miss." Nagi thanked the nurse as she walked out. "See, I told you your father would be okay!" Reo smiled at Nagi. "Thanks Reo. I really appreciate it." "Appreciate what?" Reo questioned, confused by what he meant.
"Just you being here in general. I may have grew up in a big kingdom, but as the Kings son, i was never allowed to go out often, so my only friend was Isagi, and his other friend Bachira, but even they couldn't stay with me all the time since their parents would always get worried." He paused
"My dads always used to be busy with King duties and all, and my mom was also ill, so it wasn't easy for him. Most of the time, I would just sit in my room and look out the window, wishing I could be like the rest of the kids in the kingdom, and now that your here, it really feels like I have a true friend." Nagi smiled, a genuine smile.
Reo blushed, looking down, he couldn't help it, the story was quite heartwarming, and he felt appreciated after what Nagi said. "Well, that's what friends are for!" Reo looked up at Nagi as he spoke, a big smile plastered on his face.
Nagi laughed, "Well, you certainly seem quite happy after hearing that." Reo couldn't deny it, he was over the moon, "Yeah, well it's not often things like that get said to me, so this one was special." Reo replied, smiling like an idiot.
Just then, the hospital room door slammed open, an angry Isagi barging in, headed towards Reo, "You. Why are you still here?? Didn't I tell you to go home, back to wherever you came from??" He said as he poked a finger in Reo's chest.
"Woah, woah, woah. Calm down Isagi. What's going on?" Nagi asked, concerned. "Him. You don't know who he is or where he's from, and your speaking to him so casually, telling your entire life story to him? He could be a spy from another kingdom for all you know!!"
Nagi paused. Isagi wasn't wrong, infact, he was totally right, but Nagi couldn't shake the feeling that Reo was a good person, "Look, we don't know that, so we can't just assume. Plus, Reo doesn't seem like that type of person, so let's not get too ahead of ourselves." Nagi said, trying to calm everyone down.
Isagi took a deep breath before turning back to Reo. "What kingdom are you from?" Reo looked at Isagi, confused, "I'm just from a small ordinary village..." Reo replied. "Impossible. I saw how you fought yesterday, there's no way you're just some ordinary village lad." Isagi replied.
"Surprise? I used to train a lot when I was younger, so that's probably why." Reo said. Isagi couldn't say anything to that, because Reo genuinely looked like he wasn't lying.
"Alright. I'll believe you." Isagi said, looking at Reo, "But that doesn't mean i'm going to apologize. Maybe your a spy from that village." Reo looked at Isagi, dumbfounded, "Are you serious? What is me spying on Nagi gonna do any good to my village?" Reo asked, wanting an answer.
"I can't trust you just yet. I'll believe that your not a spy, but that doesn't mean I trust you fully." Isagi replied. Reo rolled his eyes.
