There was no way that I could have come out of that conversation thinking I was still sane.
Looking around, this planet was stunning. The lush grass was shining and blue. The trees were all different colored than green- some pink, some blue, some violet. The water fountains were spouting multi-colored liquid that I didn't think could be water.
I looked around. The people around me were all barefoot- I didn't know how as it was scorching hot outside and the concrete had to have been ten times worse.
I saw many animals scuttling around- getting their owners to wherever they had to be. If you looked really close- you could see the collars attatched to their necks.
I heard footsteps behind me, running to catch up.
"Kira, wait!"
I turned around impatiently. My eyes caught sight of an also-barefooted Amethyst. I crossed my arms as she ran up beside me.
She produced a large stick that was not made of wood from her pocket.
"What is that?" I asked, unable to help myself.
Amethyst grinned. "A wand. This one's made from lapis and strawberry quartz."
My jaw dropped. "A wand?"
Nodding, she said, "yup."
I pressed my tongue to the inside of my cheek, contemplating a question.
Amethyst must have seen the question coming, because she said, "I'm a Witch."
I closed my tired eyes. This day kept getting weirder by the second.
"A Witch," I tiredly confirmed.
When I opened my eyes, Amethyst was squinting at me. "Why?" she asked. "Is it that weird for you, even with all that you've seen and heard today?"
I stared at her in disbelief. Pointing to myself, I exclaimed, "Are you kidding me? My brain is on overload, and you come and tell me you're a Witch? Just what am I?"
"We don't know yet." She sounded frustrated. "But that's mostly because you're probably still unclaimed- or at least, that's what we think."
Delphani walked up beside us. "That's what we were getting to, but you ran off."
I clicked my tongue. "Yeah, that's what happens when your brain goes of TMI overload."
Delphani cocked her head. "TMI?"
Amethyst sighed. "It's the human way of saying too much information."
"Huh."
I glanced up at the sky. "Well. It's getting dark, and I'm getting tired. I want to go home."
Amethyst grinned again. "Nope. Not yet. First- we have a Lunar Festival to get to."
Sorry this chapter was MUCH shorter- I just wanted to get something out. Cya soon.
