“[Y/n], someone's at the door.”
the girl was sat on the couch, along with her feline companion, grim as she was knitting a scarf for the cat when louise had floated in to inform her of a visitor.
she and grim cocked an eyebrow at their floating friend. “I was not aware that we'd be having a guest.” she says. benjamin and edward soon floated in, snickering mischievously, quietly muttering to each other. “What're the two of you talkin' about?” asked grim.
puzzled by their behaviour, the girl was about to ask who was at the door when edward beat her to it, “A certain tall and horned student has come looking for you.” of course the ghosts knew of how the prince of briar valley would often wander into the vicinity of the previously rundown dorm to enjoy time alone away from his overly concerned attendants.
but now, it was more of wanting to spend more time with the female than having alone time.
it wouldn't be a surprise if they recognized him when they eavesdropped on one of [y/n] and his' evening conversations.
what? no they didn't intend to listen in on their conversation, they just happened to have been wandering around the dorm when they bumped into the scene of the girl interacting with the male. after that they'd only watch from afar, to make sure [y/n] would be safe.
eventually, they let the two be on their own to talk, trusting that the fae prince wouldn't bring harm to the ramshackle dorm's current prefect.
“Oh? You mean Ρ̵̝͌̊͜ω̷̢̛͙̭̟̌͆μ̸̡̱̒̎͛͠α̸̝͚͓̝͒ί̸͚͓͚̀͑ο̸̒͜ς̴͓̼͎͉͊̀̽ ?” her lips curled up into a smile, feeling delighted to see her evening companion. setting down the knitting needles she was holding, she stood up and walked down the hallway to the front door. the ghosts stayed behind to keep grim company, and to make sure he doesn't interrupt [y/n] talk with the male.
sure enough, once she opened the door he was standing there at her foyer, in all of his mysteriously handsome glory. still wearing the standard nrc uniform for diasomnia.
his bright green eyes visibly lit up once her form appeared from behind the door. “Ι̶͖̠͆ο̵͖̭̺͍̽̈́̕̕ϋ̵̫̣̂̊λ̷̮̙̑͆̕ὶ̶̬̹͍̟̂̈́̍έ̶͇͒̋͊͒τ̵͔̎α̵̳͗͑ .” he calmly says, barely able to hold back his fondness from his tone of voice. “Malleus, I was not aware that you'd be visiting.” said the girl, leaning her body against the side of the entrance.
her breath hitched when his lips unconsciously formed a small frown, giving her the impression that the male was pouting. she had to bite her lip to prevent a laugh from coming out.
it was quite ironic, really. everyone feared the famous fae prince of briar valley. deeming him as not only powerful but also scary. they feared him. the same person who stood in front of her in her porch, pouting because he wasn't called by the nickname the girl had come up with. cute, isn't it?
