Chapter 8

That day me and Ren talked all day about "What if's"

What if we grew up together. What if we he good parents. What if we were in school. What if everything.

I ended up falling asleep in his house and of course Nana came at some point and we all ended up going to sleep together.

Weird because it felt like I was sleeping with mom and dad in there bed while I was sleeping between them.

Ren left while we were both asleep and I was awake but I did not want to go through the pain of goodbye.

Nana and Yasu went with him but I played asleep. I couldn't do it.

I know in the future I was going to see him again. It wasn't a goodbye, it was more "See you later"

We really couldn't play as a band anymore, not without Ren, so slowly it broke off.

Next thing I know on Nana's 20th birthday she went to Tokyo too.

She left us too and I wanted to give her a cake and a pack of cigarettes she liked.

Ren speaks to me once a month but never wants to speak to Nana for whatever reason. After 4 months of calling, I got cut off.

He was doing really good in the band. I'd pass the CD store and hear people going crazy for a hot guy named "Ren"

Every once in a while I'd get a compliment or "Weren't you in that band?" And that's the only fame I got.

After Nana left, Yasu and Nobu got together with me just to catch up on things.

"So Kusaki how have you been? No boyfriends yet?" Nobu winked as he drank his beer.

"Nah, just been up to nothing" I looked down and drank my beer "I miss Nana and Ren"

Yasu smoked his new cigarette pack and looked at me "You'll see them sooner or later" he says.

"It's been like 5 weeks or so and I already miss her!" I said "Why do they both have to be so damn stubborn" I put my palm to my forehead.

"Everyone is, Kusaki" Yasu says "Though I did meet her" he smokes.

"You asshole! You met her and didn't tell us?!" I drank harshly.

"Kusaki calm down" Nobu laughed "Your pigtails make you look so cute when your angry" Nobu makes a cute puppy face.

"Nobu! Not now! Yasu! What did she say?!" I shouted.

"Well she didn't say anything she needed her stuff from here because she already got a place with some other girl named Nana but we have to call her Hachiko"

I grabbed Nobu "Me and Nobu can take it!!! Perfect! Wait, it's a girl? Not a dog? That's a really common dog name" a picture of a cute dog with Nana popped up.

"Yup, they both pay half the rent" Yasu smoked.

I grinned "That's cheap Nana for you" I smiled and payed back while drinking my beer.

"Kusaki it's a good ideas to go" he brings out his money and lays it on the table.

"Already, Yasu? It's only 1 in the morning" I cried. He looked at me and grinned "I have a lot of work to do"

"Oh, yes sir, future lawyer, sir" I said jokingly "Let's go Kusaki, you need to wake up early in the morning with Nobu. It's an eight hour drive"

I look down with sadness "Okayyy, bye Nobu!" I waved and smiled while Yasu was dragging me out.

I couldn't believe tomorrow I was going to meet Nana, finally.
