Chapter 18

Today was finally the day! I was so excited to play our song! The song we've been practicing for such a long time!

To me it was a long time and then in two days was the day Nana and Hachi got to the concert.

I was having twice the excitement and twice the heart attack. I just wanted to see the face of Nana when she saw Ren up there.

Someone pounded on the door as I was getting myself ready. Not because I'm nervous but just I need to breath, so much inspiration in the room, like I'm drowning in it.

"Kusaki! We're on in 5" someone shouted. I got up and opened the door and I saw Nobu "Ready?" He smiled.

I nodded. Nobu got my forehead towards his and the kissed it "Lets rock" he smiled.

He walked away as Yasu was coming "Ren would be proud of you" Yasu grinned. I yawned "Don't make me mess up my makeup" I laughed.

Nana then came to all of us "Everyone being there best! Let's rock out!"

We all walked out there with our chins out and smiled.

I loved the feeling. It was like everyone was depending on you to save the world and you did.

"Hello everyone! We are BLAST!" Nana shouted as we begin to start the music.

We all played our hearts out. For old times sake. For Ren's sake I did.

The crowd seemed very unknown but after a while they all got excited. Everyones colors showed up as we painted it.

We made the art that made us want to just burst out.

"You guys were amazing!" A lady with glasses and pulled up black hair said "You guys are so talented and made the others look like amateurs!"

"You guys were really good!" A guy with glasses and dreads said as we were eating.

"Thank you Mr. Kyoske and Ms. Junko" Nobu cried.

"Don't pull that "Mr" crap we are the same age as you" he smiled.

"You two looks so much older! Like Yasu!" I shouted. They both laughed.

"Maybe Yasu needs to stop acting childish" Nana said as she was lighting her cigarette.

"That's why he sits in the back and is quiet" Junko joked.

Yasu laughed and Nana stood up to go talk to Misato. Hachi looked a little jealous and angry which made me stand up.

"Can I help?" I smiled. Hachi looked at me with a surprised look "Oh... No you don't..."

"No I will, pay back for the time I got drunk" I giggled and helped her as she was cutting.

"So Kusaki, Yasu is your parent?" Hachi asked. I nodded with a smile "Don't tell Nana but Ren found me when I was young and Yasu adopted me"

"Hm?" Hachi listened.

"Ren couldn't adopt cause he was still around 17 so he couldn't but..." I looked down and smiled. I missed Ren.

"That face..." Hachi looked at me with shock "I have a poster in my room with Ren looking down and you look like him" she said with an open mouth.

I laughed "I guess that's a compliment. How are you and your boyfriend?" I asked.

Hachi looked down sadly "We broke up"

I jumped "Im so sorry that I asked. Guys can be assholes.... that's why you kill them" Hachi looked at me shocked.

I winked at her and lit my cigarette and laughed "I'm just kidding... but I wouldn't mind.... What's his name?" I laughed.

Hachi laughed and blared out his name "His name is..." She gave me the scariest look "NO KUSAKI!"

I gave her the most evil face I can give her and laughed. She screamed a little.

Nana came to me a little drunk and hugged me "Ahhh! Come on Kusaki! Don't scare her now! You're supposed to tell her later"

I knew exactly where Nana was going and I drank more. Hachi was so scared yet confused.

Shin smiled a little, knowing where this was going "Come on Nana, she had to know someday. I can't keep it a secret forever"

"W-W-What do you mean?" Hachi stuttered. Nobu laughed. Nobu became serious.

"Hachi, come on. You never noticed Kusaki's fake innocent look? She a stone cold murder. Where do you think she gets her money from?"

Hachi looked at me and I tried playing cool "Aaahhhh" she shoke.

Nana went behind Hachi and touched her shoulders "Kusaki gets paid for doing what she's doing. Why do you think Yasu look mysterious"

She looked at Yasu, who was casually drinking. I couldn't hold it and neither could the others.

We all started laughing "YOU GUYS ARE JERKS!" Hachi cried.

"Come on, Hachi! It's a joke..." I got to close to her "Unless, someone is really bothering you" I whispered.

"KUSAKI! Get away!" She cried.

Everything went down and we went back home.

As we were walking I just wanted to tell Yasu. I've been thinking about moving out.

I can't live with him forever.

"Kusaki?"

"Hm?" I jumped a little because I was in my own thoughts.

"I know about the whole Nana and Ren meeting up. Do you think she can take it?" Yasu asked, smoking.

I looked at him oddly. Of course she can take it! "Yes, I think Nana can... What's wrong with that?"

He looked away "Well let's say we get big, she's gonna have to be in extra hiding and then if something happens... It can go bad Kusaki. What did I tell-"

"About thinking for the future and not the present...." I quoted him "Yasu, I know but it's all about now. You worry to much"

I scratched his head. I had to tell him already "Yasu.... I wanna move out"

Yasu looked at me and grinned "That's what's bothering you?"

I was shocked. I'm good at hiding feelings! I think... "How'd you know?!" I asked.

He laughed a little "Well everyone goes through that stage of going away dumb teen"

I sighed "IM NOT A TEENAGER! That's why I need to move!" I shouted.

He smiled "Alright after the whole 'Ren and Nana meetup' then we can worry about that"

Ren and Nana...

I can't wait....
