"You've got chocolate all over your face," I stated in amusement as Maple gobbled her cupcake.

I just chuckled as I held my chai in my hands.

She needed to be spoiled more... she was too good of a child.

My lashes lowered.

Thanks to mom and dad.

I just sipped my chai casually, gazing back down at Maple as she started eating another cupcake.

I smiled.

So cute.

She suddenly looked up, chocolate all over her nose and mouth.

She swallowed her food and gazed up at me, pointing to the cashier. "Is he being weird?"

I blinked and gazed up, eyes rounding when I saw Bane standing by the counter, leaning his arm on the counter as he slid his card into the reader.

He then smiled up at the cashier and pulled his card out.

She just handed him his drink and nodded in thanks.

I narrowed my eyes as Bane stepped over to a table and pulled out his phone, sitting by himself and swiping on some social media while sipping his coffee.

Wow... DeJa'Vu... but this time, I was staring at him and he was paying no attention to me.

"He's been following us," Maple told me, and I gazed over at her in surprise.

He has?

"I saw him in the flower shop," she told me, "he was staring at a vase for a while. And den he followed us to the dead people place."

I stiffened.

Oh... crap... he knew where I went...?

I hoped he didn't get the wrong idea. What if he thought I was giving his brother flowers because I was mad at him for killing him?

Bane's eyes suddenly flicked to mine, and a smirk crossed his face before he stared back down at his phone.

What the...?

What was that look for? What the hell?

He only sipped his coffee again, paying no attention to me.

Why did it feel like three months ago?

"Are you going to go talk to him?" Maple said.

I shook my head.

"Why not?" she asked me, face still covered in chocolate. "He's still here."

"What if he wants to hurt me still...?" I whispered to her.

Why was I asking my four-year-old sister this? I didn't know.

"I don't think he wants to hurt you," she said honestly. "Look," she said, pointing to his shirt that had a giant teddy bear on it, though it looked a little creepy, "he's all warm and huggy! I want to hug him! You should hug him!"

I shook my head. "You're too little to know what's happening, Maple."

"I'm not little!" she said to me, puffing her cheeks and she sat back down. "You're so mean to me."

I only settled back into myself, smiling down at her. "So you're mad at me now?"

She pouted and looked away.

"Would getting you another cupcake make you feel better?" I asked her.

She only make a "hmph" noise. "I will onwy feel better if you hug Baney."
