The sun dipped below the Shanghai hills as 4 cars pulled over to a simple rundown shack on the outskirts of a small residential area. 'Ah nostalgia', Chen Fang reminisced as they walked towards the doors together

'I don't think you can enter', Dongmin commented as the sneaky doorbell scanned their faces

'Think again', he answered as the scanner signaled him to proceed into the elevator, 'For a good detective I thought you would've knew the answer to that'

Kaili coughed at the taunt before nudging a composed Dongmin who simply ignored him. Once the elevator stopped, they exited swiftly leaving Chen Fang to absorb the familiar surroundings slowly. His memory flooded back the minute he locked eyes on a small lounge area filled with comfy seating and glass round table. 'We used to have fun just waiting for those autopsies to be done', Kaili remarked behind him while he sat down slowly, 'Ren used to force us to play a random card game while we waited remember'

'I remember', he laughed solemnly, 'Here's his favorite'

He picked up a small white casing with blue lace spiraling on the cover like tangled seaweed. Kaili's eyes sparkled, 'Oh my gosh yes!', she exclaimed before sitting next to him , 'And his favorite card should be...here'

Chen Fang grinned while she held the playful skinny joker card in her hand, 'As he'd always say'

'The joker may be an idiot, but he's the most useful when needed', they both recited simultaneous before bursting into laughter

'Yea..', Chen Fang finally said as they heard a door swing open, 'Time to get back to work'

Exiting from the supply room was a skinny pale man, his arm bestowed a flaky skull tattoo and his shaggy coal hair had blue streaks running down from the base of his head right down to the tips. 'You're the new pathologist?', Liya asked curiously

His dark rimmed eyes looked down at her, 'Do I not look like one?', he questioned her back before noticing her confused expression, 'I am'

He held his boney arm out, 'I'm Ryuu', he introduced himself, 'Full name: RyuuGozen'

'What happened to the old pathologist?', Kaili asked, 'He's way too young to retire'

He blinked and strapped on latex gloves before eyeing her, 'You do know he was 60 right, according to SPADE'

Her expression went to shock as he snickered, his tongue piercing glistening briefly, 'Aren't you supposed to be the best detective in all of Shanghai?'

'Let's not get ahead of ourselves', Chen Fang spoke, simmering the conversation, 'Let's begin the autopsy'

Instead of replying, Ryuu covered his face with a white face mask and entered the room where the body lay waiting for him. He closely read his silent resting face, 'He looks stressed', he concluded, 'I can see some crows feet forming and according to his bio he's only 26'

'Even with all that money he still couldn't buy himself proper skin care', Dongmin remarked

Ryuu chanted a quiet prayer before speaking again, 'His skin has been burnt on edges such as the waist and the neck', he began, 'These burns have left patchy markings under where skin is supposed to be'

He cautiously tilted his neck, 'Two miniature scars seem to be left here, these are the only scars I see so far'

Lifting his arms, he ran his finger along thick black and blue blotches, 'Bruising can be seen, slight only', he reminded them, 'But...along his back there seems to be light bruising as well'

Before turning towards them, he mimicked a forceful push, 'Someone may have done that', he suggested

'Perhaps...someone pushed him off the balcony and into the pool', Chen Fang muttered, remembering the balcony overseeing the deep pool below
