They all glanced at the oversize man grasping his pen desperately while sitting ion the corner, 'Chen I think you're spiraling', Kaili pointed out as Liya's palm slapped her forehead in disappointment

'I've found that besides lightning, other ways to die by electrocution include um..', he began, rubbing his eyes, 'Any form of water landing on electrical equipment, accidentally touching a plug point, getting tasered-'

An abrupt snap interrupted him, 'That sounds like the best one', Liya stated, 'AN electric taser could potentially make those marks'

'Lightning scars are hard to mimic though', Kaili countered, using a marker to tap onto the pictures found from the autopsy, 'But with skill, I guess a taser can work too'

'The voltage has to be the same', Dongmin continued, 'If it has the same voltage as a lightning strike, then it'll recreate the scars with no problems'

'I can't believe your spiraling helped us', Kaili chuckled as Liya smiled and bent down beside his exhausted body

'You did good', she praised him before rubbing his fluffed black hair, 'You better sleep'

As soon as she said that his head hit the velvety golden pillows on the couch and his body drifted off the dreamland. 'What about you both?'

Kaili smiled and brought out a tape recorder, 'We got some information out of her', she proudly announced, 'Listen up'

He listened closely to every word, 'She sounds quite full of herself'

'Agreed', Kaili scoffed

'She may be full of herself, but at least she can live up to the expectations she sets others', Liya noticed, 'She has the job and the money'

'Fair point', Dongmin decided, 'So we need to check out her alibi'

'I'm going to do that now', Kaili offered, 'Just a quick phone call'

Ring ring

Liya glanced over at Chen Fang who was sound asleep on the couch next to them, 'I'll let you guys handle this one', she suggested before walking over and sitting down next to him

With her back relaxed against the soft pillows, she slowly rested her palms against his head and lifted it onto her lap. He stirred slightly as his head plopped down comfortably on her soft thighs. 'There there', she soothed him, stroking the wisps of his black hair, 'i guess you seem stressed and tired..mainly stressed'

'Thank you', Kaili thanked abruptly before hanging up, 'Alright so the lioness's friend is Madeline Yong and she confirmed they went out together and had dinner then drank at the bar'

'So she has an alibi?'

'I supposed so', Dongmin responded, 'That means the only one who doesn't have an alibi is YuXuan'

'Technically JiHu too', Kaili remembered, 'We have to call her parents'

'We've got HaoRan's phone', she replied, 'Good enough'

She pulled it out and scrolled until a smile formed, 'Here they are', she said while typing it into her own phone

'Can I see the phone?', Liya asked right as it was tossed towards her

Taking the phone, she slowly started by accessing his Whatsapp, moving past clients and business partners, she inspected other contacts of friends and family. 'Mom', she read the contact name aloud, 'Last message was...a week ago'
