I didn't see Kakashi until I woke up the next morning to get ready got my mission. He said he slept on the couch since I was already asleep. I gave him a quick kiss before I gathered my things to leave. Asuma and Kurenia just woke up as I was walking out of the door.
"Be careful this week. The Akatsuki has been very active her lately, and looking for the tailed beast." Asuma said rubbing his eyes.
"I will. Inoichi told me to stay hidden anyway cause the higher ups were escorting don't like me, but I'll keep a close eye out for them," I turned to Kakashi," Keep a good eye on Naruto, okay?"
"I will. He is my student after all, and they keep asking to meet you," Kakashi nudged my arm.
"Maybe after my mission. I have to get going," we said our fair wells and I headed to the village gates.
I reached the gates and see Inoichi leaning against the the wall.
"You're earlier," he stated once he saw me.
"Yeah. I figured I'd get here early to scope out and make sure I don't see anything to worry about."
"Just like your mother," He smiled, laughing a little and looked up at the sky, as if he could see her.
I studied him for a moment," Well I'm going to do my round, I'll keep high once they are here."
He gave me a nodded and I took off.

We left out about 7 that morning and are not trying to find a good resting point for the night. As I was scouting ahead, I heard a conversation between Inoichi and one of the female higher ups.
"So which anbu member did you pick for our escort? I hope they are the best and not that (Y/N)," she said.
"That is none of you business ma'am. I didn't pick them, that was up to Lord Third," Inochi said.
"Well as much as I trust him, his daughter his is a piece of work. She might be one of the best, but he cheated on his wife with that woman and had her. She should not even be in the village anymore," she crossed her arms.
"Look, I understand you are a higher up, but (y/n) is the best of the best and she is my niece, so I will not tolerate any type of bashing against her. Now you have 2 choices, not say another word about her and I'll escort you the rest of the way, or you stay here for the night and I'll find someone else to," Inoichi said. I was in shock. Utter shock, to say. No one other than Asuma, Kurenia, and Kakashi have stood up for me. I'm sure Inoichi sensed me close and that is why he said that or he really meant it. I just brushed off what was said and focused on the mission.
