"W-What do you mean you're marrying her?" My mom asks.
I grin and follow Jennie's car. "You said I had to marry someone and I'm going to marry her."
"Jisoo....marriage is a decision that shouldn't be made on a whim like this. When I asked you to get married, I thought you would find someone you liked, fall in love and get married. I didn't know you wanted us to get get you an arranged marriage. Is Jennie even up for that? There's a lot of factors in this...not just about you marrying a woman you liked on first sight."
"Mother."
"Daughter," she sighs.
"Mother, what I feel is that I can get her to marry me and I can worry about the falling in love part later. Everyone likes me."
"Some days I don't."
"Don't with the sarcasms Mother."
"Then stop calling me Mother. I have enough of it when commenters online take videos of you arresting someone. I will never understand why they ask you to choke them."
I chuckle awkwardly. "Mom. We're straying from the conversation."
"Look...all I'm saying is that it's complicated!"
"Well, I don't care. Jennie is my wife and I'm fixed. I'm not interested in marrying anyone but her."

I look at the puppy shivering next to me.
I look at it with sympathy. "Poor puppy. How long were you even in the rain for? I'll take you to a nearby shelter tomorrow. First let me clean you up and then I'll take you in the morning. Sounds good?"
The puppy just shivers and I chuckle before going back to driving.
My mind unwillingly drifts to the beautiful woman that had come to help me out.
Yeah. I encounter beautiful woman. I even have to look into their eyes for quite a while.
She's pretty but....she's not anything I haven't seen before.
I drive to my apartment and I smile as I pick the puppy and run out of my car and straight into the building.
The receptionist does not look happy, which is fine with me because the puppy makes everything better honestly.
I run into elevator against her protests and it takes me up to my floor. I giggle as I quickly unlock my apartment door and run in and lock it behind me.
I run to my shower and turn on the warm water and gently wash the small white cocker spaniel.
He keeps trying to leave but I hold onto him firmly and he melts in my hands as I massage his body with the warm water.
Once I get all the dirt out, I use a towel and wash him.
I definitely know it's a he. Do. Not. Worry.
I than a space blanket and place it on the ground near a warm vent and the towel on top and his eyes immediately close.
I smile and my phone rings perfectly on time.
I grab it and answer, "Hello?"
"The woman is here. She wants to meet you."
I blink quickly. "She....she's there already? I thought you said in the evening."
"Yes I thought so too but she came early and now wants to meet you."
I blow out a breath. "Well, that's just great. I got drenched in the rain. You have to tell her I need a half hour at least."
