I walked past him and went upstairs to the old room I was in when I first got here. I can't believe I'm gonna be here alone. I want Orion back. What am I doing with him? I know I don't love him. I can't do that to him. Ugh when did my life get so complicated.
It's morning now. I freshened up and went downstairs for breakfast. I walked inside the kitchen and the old lady greeted me. I came to know her name was Anna.
Everyone was sitting there. Ace, Jaxon, Aiden, Dante. Everyone but Orion. He should've been back by now. I sat down on my spot not saying a word. I pour myself some coffee and added the italian sweet cream creamer.
"Are we gonna say something?" Dante started whispering.
"Who's gonna tell her?" Jaxon whispered.
"You tell her." Aiden said.
"Stop whispering and tell me whatever it is you're trying to tell me." I finally said.
They looked at each other. "Orion won't be back until next week." Jaxon spilled.
"What? Why?"
"He's stuck in New York."
I looked at Ace. He was just eating his breakfast with not a care in the world.
"You did this on purpose, didn't you."
Ace looked up at me. "Orion insisted on handling the matter himself."
"He wouldn't do that knowing I'm alone here."
He smirked. "No he wouldn't."
"Why?"
"You wanted war, remember? You said to 'wait and watch'."
"Fine. You wanna play dirty? We'll play dirty."
"You don't wanna know the definition of my 'dirty'."
I shaked my head and stormed out. I walked around the house and found the backyard door. Wow. Pretty backyard.
It was like a garden. Different kinds of flowers. Trees. A big water fountain. The grass was greener than any I've ever seen. It was beautiful and peaceful out here.
A few minutes later I went back inside. I walked right past Ace's office. I stopped. And walked backwards, standing in front of his office. I knock on the door to check whether or not he's there. But he wasn't.
I opened the door and walked right in. Interesting. I looked at his desk and... phone. I picked up the phone but it was locked with a passcode. Damn it. Actually...
I took the phone and walked in the kitchen.
"Hello sweetheart."
"Hi Anna."
I sat up on the counter next to the filled up sink. "Do you ever go somewhere else other than this kitchen?"
"I do go out, you know."
"Ace lets you?"
"I've been in this family for as long as I can remember. The respect Ace gives me will surprise you."
"Is that so?"
"Anna, were you in my office a few minutes ago?" Ace walked in, annoyed.
"No I was not. Is everything alright?" She asked him.
