SPICE ALERT
Nora
It's been almost a week. Everyone was busy doing their own thing. Ace was busy working, giving orders, figuring out a way to stop the Russians with Mr. De Luca's help. Jax, Aiden, and Dante were making calls, calling their connections, and other stuff I didn't even know. And the kids were busy with school.
I did bond with them though. Antonio just passed on his cute flirty little comments and Arabella and I had some girl time. They were the cutest. And I don't really like kids. I decided to leave my room and go downstairs.
I saw a picture on the stand. It was Mr. De Luca and... "Beautiful, isn't she?" That voice almost made me jump.
"Yeah she is. Is she-"
"My wife. Seraphina."
"I'm sorry."
"Oh don't be. It's been five years. Ace hasn't told you about her?"
"He and I don't really talk. I didn;t even know she had passed until we landed here."
"Lets sit."
We both sat on the couch and he told me stories about his wife. Even with her gone, he's madly in love with her. The pain in his eyes was so clear.
"And about Ace." He said. "He is the way he is because of what happened with his mother. He was very close to her. And then he lost her."
No wonder. I can't even imagine what he must've gone through. "I'm sorry."
He chuckled. "Stop apologizing sweetheart. It-"
"There you are." Ace walked in. He looked at me. "Orion called for you. He says you're not picking up your phone. He got worried."
"What are you, his messenger now?"
He glared. "Are you done?"
"You have my phone, remember?" I rolled my eyes.
"Oh right."
"Yea oh right. I want it back. You know if you're done doing an autopsy on it." I said as his father lightly chuckled.
Ace looked at him. "This is funny to you?"
"I'm sorry son, she reminds me of your mother."
He rolled his eyes and started to walk away. "You'll get it back later."
"How did you put up with him for twenty two years?"
"You learn."
Mr. De Luca and I sat for another thirty minutes just talking. He asked how I got kidnapped and I told him everything. Well almost everything. He's a good person to talk to. He's a total dad though.
It was night time and we said good nights. I walked upstairs to hear Antonio and Arabella arguing in his room. I knocked on the door and it flew open. Gee this little boy.
"Hey beautiful." I scoffed as he said that.
"Still not happening."
"A guy can try."
"I heard arguing. Is everything okay?"
They started yapping at the same time. "Woah woah woah. One at a time. Ladies first."
