Father

Hindi ko napagbigyan ang nais ni Arik  dahil kinailangan kong sunduin si Ariah sa school niya. Mabuti na lang ay hindi na siya nagpumilit pa kahit ibang dahilan ang sinabi ko.

"So, you were making out in the conference room after your conference meeting?!" Kim harshly said to me, tila excited na excited siya sa nalaman

Gusto ko pa sanang i-deny iyon pero mukhang napunuan na ng Aurora na ito ang utak niya ng kahalayan.

"Girl! You won't believe what I saw!" She stopped and glanced back at me. "They were being so promiscuous! They were on top of the table and barely had any clothes on! Para akong nanood ng live show! Para silang mga hayop na gutom na gutom sa isa't isa!"

As I suspected, Aurora immediately started telling Kim the whole story. Para pa ngang dinagdagan niya ng kung anu-ano ang mga kinwento niya kay Kim. Ang oa talaga ng babaeng ito.

"Are you two a thing now? Sinabi mo na ba sa kanya ang tungkol kay Ariah?" Tanong pa ni Kim habang pinag-uusapan namin ang tungkol sa Aomori Resort.

I shook my head and took a sip of my wine. "Hindi pa..."

"Anong hindi pa? Hindi pa kayo mag-on ulit o hindi mo pa sinasabi?" Aurora asked.

"Both."

"But what's your status? Bakit may making out nang nangyayari?" Kim asked again.

My cheeks grew warm. "We're... dating."

"Dating lang?" Aurora exclaimed.

"What do you want? Gumawa agad sila ng kasunod ni Ariah? There hasn't been any formality yet. Sobrang bilis nga ng mga pangyayari, e," Kim said neutrally, and I nodded in agreement.

"He told me to trust him this time. Sabi niya ay hindi talaga naging sila ni Isabella," I replied, recalling what Arik had said.

"Totoo ba? What about you? What do you feel for Arik? Do you like him? Sabihin mo nga, may feelings ka na sa kanya bago ka pa man umalis ng bansa no?" Aurora insisted once again, sounding very sure of herself.

That was a question I couldn't answer. It's true that everything has happened too quickly. It's all been so fast that I can't even comprehend it.

I was also asking myself the same question—do I have feelings for him before I even migrated to Spain? I don't even know.

Gusto ko lang makasigurong magiging maayos ang lahat ngayon. Kahit hindi na masyadong maging masaya. As long as my daughter is in a good place and I can give her everything, I will do it.

Even if I have to ask her father to take us back. To take me back. Or even if it's just for Ariah to know him. Just to have him in her life.

"I don't know. What matters the most is... I want them to meet each other someday. Ariah knows him. I want Arik to know his daughter, too."
