"What's on our schedules?" I asked as Professor McGonagall handed Fred and George theirs. I eyed it, exceptionally interested in what we would be learning this year. Of course, I had already gone through all of our books, but I couldn't help wanting to make sure I had already covered all of our material.

"Schedules? Don't you mean timetables?" George asked me with a smirk, scooping some scrambled eggs into his mouth as he talked, making a rather unpleasant sight. He knew what I meant, just as much as he knew how much I disliked when people talked with their mouths full.

"Same thing. What is it?" I continued, trying to ignore the trait that both George and Ron seemed to have in common, and Fred passed me his schedule. I thanked him before my eyes scanned the paper eagerly, trying to memorize it as quickly as possible.

On Mondays, we started out with History of Magic, then Potions, then Study of Ancient Runes before Defense Against the Dark Arts. The rest of the week also had Astronomy (a midnight course), Care of Magical Creatures (studying Knarls, Crups, Porlucks, Kneazles, and Bowtruckles), Charms (mostly reviewing on summoning this year), Herbology, and Transfiguration.

"Looks like it's going to be a packed year, eh?" Fred asked as I finished reading, and I nodded as McGonagall finally got around to me.  She saw me looking at Fred's schedule, a barely noticeable hint of humor in her eyes at my impatience.

"It seems as if you shouldn't have too much trouble making friends, Ms. DeRouge," she said to me, her green eyes flickering between the twins and I under her square glasses. Her long, black hair was pulled into a bun on the back of her head, her classic emerald green robes perfect.

"Hogwarts has been very welcoming, Professor," I agreed, and she raised one of her eyebrows at me, her eyes betraying some sort of emotion before continuing on, handing more schedules to other Gryffindors. I checked my schedule, which was the exact same as Fred and George's. Good.

"Classes start at nine, that gives us an hour before we have to go. Do you want to go back to the common room?" George asked, eyeing his own schedule with distaste, and I nodded before grabbing my last bit of bacon.  I ate it quickly, my hair changing a nice shade of violet as I ate the delicious food.

Fred and George climbed out of their seats, and I followed closely behind them as we wove in between students coming into the Great Hall and students leaving. We exited quickly, going through the corridors until we got to the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"Fortuna Major," Fred said as soon as we were in front of her, and she swung open, revealing the hole to get in. Looked like there wasn't a need for a show.

We entered our common room in a single file line, Fred and George in front of me. They both had to crouch down to get through the hole, and I had to hold back my giggles. It was karma for teasing me about being short.

"Grab your candy?" George asked, and I nodded before quickly shuffling over to the staircase and up the stairs before going into my dormitory. Under my bed, I pulled out my bag full of all our treats from Honeyduke's before stuffing some of them into the pockets of my robe.

I returned the bag of candy to under my bed, hiding it so nobody could see. I really didn't want anybody to find out that Fred and George and I had gone into Hogsmead last night, especially when Dumbledore was already very worried about the dementors attacking students. I knew how to cast a Patronus, obviously, but still, we had very blatantly broken the rules.

I stood up, leaving my dormitory and heading down the stairs back to the common room. As I entered,  I spotted Fred and George in the same corner they had been last night, but someone bumped in to me. I rubbed my arm before glancing up at another girl, her eyes looking down at something as she walked.
