"Can you believe Snape actually gave Gryffindor 5 points?!" Lee said excitedly as we headed out of the dungeons and up towards the Great Hall for lunch.

"It has to be a first! He usually hates Gryffindor!" Fred agreed, and I just stared at them as the temperature got warmer. The dungeons were dank and cool, and how Slytherin stood it is beyond me.

Students milled all around us, mostly heading in the same direction, and I let myself be pushed along with the crowd, where the smell of food was wafting from.

"Something's special about you, Aviana. I've never seen, or even heard of, a Gryffindor that Snape liked. He usually hates us all," George said, and I blushed.

"I just answered his question," I said, and all three of them looked at each other before they burst out laughing.

"Oh, how funny you are," Fred began, and I rolled my eyes as I waited for them to flip their dialogue back and forth between each other.

"To think that that's all you did."

"As soon as he saw you he was different."

"It was like he knew you or something," George finished, and just shook my head.

"I've never seen him before," I disagreed, and they all just shrugged.

"Didn't you see the way he was looking at you?"

"It wasn't a creepy way, but definitely not normal."

"Yeah, he recognized you."

"Guys, I'm sure you don't mean any harm, but seriously. This is crazy," I interjected as we passed through the giant doors and towards Gryffindor table. As we approached, various people started whispering, and there were hushed voices talking about 'Snape', 'Gryffindor', 'Aviana', and 'points'.

Of course, the whole school immediately knew what had happened, as if they had all been there themselves.

We sat down together, and moments later, Harry and Ron showed up. I glanced at Ron, who, once he saw my eyes, blushed bright scarlet.

"So we heard you got Gryffindor points from Snape?" Harry asked, straight to the point, and I nodded as the food filled up the plates on the table. I grabbed some little sandwiches and macaroni, piling it on to my plate.

"She's bloody brilliant, that's why," George said, mimicking my actions with the food.

"Not even 'Mione has been able to get points from Snape, and she practically has the stupid books memorized. What did he ask you about?" Ron asked, and I leaned back.

"Griffin Claw. I just said the basics, I don't understand why everyone is freaking out," I said, and he rolled his eyes.

"Everybody knows Snape hates Gryffindor with a passion. We don't know why, but you seemed to have broken down part of his barriers," Ron continued, trying to rub some of his urgency off on me, and I shrugged.

I honestly didn't understand the big deal.

"Maybe he was in a good mood," I reasoned, and five pairs of eyes widened as their mouths dropped open. "What?"

"Snape? Good mood?" Ron asked, and they all laughed.

"C'mon love, we thought you were smart!"

"Snape's never in a good mood!"

"Alrighty, as interesting as this is, I need to pee. I'll be back in a minute," I said, ending the conversation for the time being and standing up. I dusted all of the crumbs off of my robe before stepping off of the bench, passing the boys to head towards the doors.
