Jessica's POV

Y/n is my daughter, she is currently 15 years old, i had her at 20. Y/n has always been openly gay to me and I appreciate it so much, we are so close, she got a job on grey's so we can work together, but she is still close to her best friend, Lea, who is also her girlfriend, Y/n's light.

I am currently running to her trailer because Ellen went past it earlier and she said she heard sobs, so I immediately ran to her to see what's up.

I open the door to her trailer

I see her crawled up in a ball sobbing

"Y/n, baby, momma's here"
"Mommy, i-i-i-i..."
"Baby, breath, take your time, is it Lea?" she finally looks up at me
"We bonded over Black Eyed Peas and complicated exes, fell so deeply into it, it was all so innocent

She lightly hits her fists against my chest, i let her explain after she takes a breath she looks up at me

"I'm not catastrophizing, everything's derailing, was only tryna hold her close while her heart was failing, just two kids going through it."

"What did she say Y/n?"
"She said, "I'm too late to be your first love, but I'll always be your favorite". Now I'm a homewrecker, I'm a-"

"I got death threats filling up semi trucks!" She yells at me
"You could have told me Y/n, i love you, i could've helped you" i say tearing it

She shoves her phone into my chest. I see an article with the photo of her and Lea kissing, they were trying to keep it secret. The caption was "Jessica Capshaw perfect daughter is not so perfect anymore". It all clicks together now.

"Did Lea break up with you because of this?"

She nods while her tears ricochet down her rosy cheeks.

"Everybody is calling me a slut, what did I do momma?" She chokes out
"You did nothing wrong angel. They all just... don't understand"
"They never will Mom!"

She crawls up into me, face buried in my neck, arms wrapped around my body so tight, almost like I was about to disappear.

Y/n's POV

I take a deep breath in before letting my mom go from my grasp, lightly standing up, before telling my mom

"I'm going to get ready for my next scene"
"Ok baby, do you need help?"
"No thanks mom, go do some work" I smile while pushing her out of my trailer

Tears are already threatening to escape my eyes without the warmth of my mom

I start getting ready, makeup, eye drops, clothes.

I'm omw to set for a scene with Stefania listening to All Too Well through my headphones

"Fuck the patriarchy" I mumble throwing my fist up in the air

I hear a chuckle behind me. I turn to see one of my favorite people on earth, Stefania

"Stefiii!" I throw myself onto her
"Hey bambina" she says giving a light kiss on my temple
"It's been so long, you have been only with a station 19" I say using my best pouty face
"I don't schedule my schedule" she says while patting me
"Well, we can't be late to our scene, let's continue walking" I say while nudging her slightly
"By the way Bambina, are you good?"
"Uhm... yeah, why?"
"I saw some articles with you and a girl and some horrific comments about you"

I lightly gasp,how many people saw this article, how many individuals of my family will hate me for me gay.
