Beat of Yesterday

Kinabukasan ay ganon nanaman ang routine ko, sinusubukan kong 'wag alalahanin ang mga nangyari kagabi so that I would be able to focus today.

"She's here." Rinig ko na agad ang boses ni Ms pagkapasok ko palang.

"Eto yung mga makakasama mo most of the time, of couse there will come a time that you need to collaborate with other age groups and people here. Pero for the meantime as you settle in sa kanila ka muna." Pagpapaliwanag ni Ms.

Agad ko naman silang ningitian as I settle my stuff, kalaunan ay pinapunta ako ni Ms sa harapan para mas maayos kong maipakilala ang aking sarili sa kanila. 

"Hi po, I'm Hydrangea Quizon but you can call me Jia nalang po." Nahihiyang sabi ko.

"Magaling 'yan, mahiyain lang talaga." Ms chuckled. Matapos non ay umupo na agad ako, not wanting the attention to last any longer.

"So for today, si Jia muna ang magtuturo sa inyo ng steps okay?"

Agad na napakunot ang noo ko roon, I faced Ms right away with a confused look on my face. 

"Sya kase yung dumalo sa class kahapon for the age group leaders, and since wala si Bryan kahapon sya ang dumalo sa age group ninyo. Kaya sya ang magtuturo ng sasayawin nyo next week." Pagpapaliwanag ni Ms.

They all nod then turned to me, I let out an uneasy smile as I stood out sa harapan. Mga ilang buwan na rin ang nakalipas ever since I quit being a choreographer under my agency sa canada.

"So first let's start with..." 

It was just like kung paano ako nagtuturo sa canada, mabuti naman at mababait ang mga kasama ko which eased the tension a little bit. Sa loob ng isang oras I was able to teach the choreo right away dahil mabilis rin nakuha ng mga kasama ko.

When lunch came we have already polished the dance kaya maaga kami naka pag lunch break, I waited for Ms habang unti-unting umaalis at nagpapaalam ang mga kasama namin kanina.

"You did good today." Puna ni Ms.

"Kinabahan ako don Ms, di mo naman sinabi saakin!" I chuckled.

"Eh baka hindi ka sumulpot eh." Rason nya.

"But you did good today talaga ha, akala ko hindi mo kakayanin mag turo. So I wanted to push you a little more, but you amazed me." Pampupuri saakin ni Ms.

"Grabe naman Miss, nag turo lang ako eh. Besides this is what I've been doing ever since nasa canada ako, when I came back here doon lang natigil kaya medyo nabigla pa'ko kanina." Pagpapaliwanag ko.

"So you used to teach sa canada?" She asked.

"Pero hindi sa mararaming tao, some artists would reach out to me and collaborate with me. Kaya tinuturo ko yung choreography ko sa kanila, but I don't offer classes or anything." I answered.

"Then you should start offering one." Sabi nya.

"Lah Miss..." I said, hesitant.

"Kung kanina nakayanan mong mag turo ng mga taong kasing edad mo lang at mas matanda ng konti sa'yo, I'm sure you can handle teaching a bunch of people Jia. With that talent of yours, kikita ka pa." Pang eenganyo nya saakin.

"Pagiisipan ko pa po Miss." Sabi ko, causing her to smile.

"C'mon let's go, kain na tayo." Aya nya saakin.

We ate sa malapit lang na restaurant sa company, mabuti nalang at secluded ito kaya no one recognized the two of us nor si Miss. Matapos non ay hinati lang namin ang bill katulad ng dati at bumalik na rin sa company.

This time we entered a blank room, walang tao, I can tell na it's also sa practice room pero mukhang walang tao rito ngayon.

"Ms, nasaan po sila?" I asked.

"It's just the two of us here Jia."

"Bakit po?"

"I want you to use the remaining time that you have for today to create a simple choreography, with any style, any music, any genre. I want to see how you create a choreography from scratch, I want to witness that creative juice flow in you." She explained.

At dahil don I started creating a choreography out of the blue, I first decided to pick a song, luckily I already have one in mind. Pinunan ko lang ang mga kulang sa choreo, and within 30 minutes I was able to produce a choreography na syang sinayaw ko kay Miss.

"So Miss, what do you think?" I asked.

Right now I can tell na namumula si Miss because of the choreography I just made and danced in front of her. I decided to play with the genre and style for this one since madalas makita saakin ni Miss ay maangas na galawan on stage which is why I opted to do a very sexy and provocative dance.

"C'mon Miss, 'wag ka na mahiya. Ako lang 'to." I joked, kneeling down to look at her.

"The baby's shy hmm? Cute." I can't help but chuckle because of her cuteness.

"Bat kase ganon..." She said after a while.

"You told me any style, any genre remember? Well I wanted to do something only you are allowed to see so..." I teased her.

"Really?" She questioned.

"Baby, during my stay in canada I never danced this kind of genre. I was mostly known for having a girl-crush vibe from the way I dance to the way I dress. I only did this because it's only the two of us here." I said as I get behind her and hug her.

"Which is why only you are allowed to see this side of me hm? This is all for you baby." I said before kissing her forehead.
