Marvin poured himself another round of tequila. He took a gulp from the bottle and another from the glass cup. His long sleeve torn.

The old bartender, Marcus stared at him with pity. The man he once was, the man he used to be, now a spilling image of his former self,he faced. Until he realized that the life he was living wasn't worth good. So,he ended up selling that very thing that almost ended him. Alcohol!

“Another!"Marvin's drunk voice broke the four minute silence between them. Marcus shook his head.

“Not another one, what you need is a doctor!"
Marvin's red eyes scanned the entire pub which was a bit dark if not for the dimlit streetlight.
“Don't make me ask again, old man!"His voice filled with a drunk rage. As old as he was, Marcus refused to hand Marvin the bottle.
“No,this stuff's gonna
kill you. Don't do this
to yourself, son!" He said, his arms embracing a bottle in a hug. Marvin groaned angrily, and abruptly got up from the seat.

His eyes directly at Marcus as he staggered towards him. How he got the strength to stand up that fast, Marcus couldn't say. All he knew was that he was in danger. The drink Marvin took could make a person drift into hours of drowsiness and slumber.

There was nowhere to run for old Marcus. “Give it to me!"he growled, his fingers clawed out like a panther about to pounce.

Marvin struggled to pull the glass off his grip but Marcus was still a bit strong for his age. He bit into Marvin's arm and he roared in pain. Marvin quickly pulled his arm away, hissing angrily. This gave him time to bolt. He ran to the corners of the counter, but he didn't run far. Marvin caught him from behind. Marcus fought to get him off his back. He kept bumping his back on walks to get rid of the vermin but he wouldn't let go. Marvin instantly grabbed the bottle and smashed it deep into Marcus's skull several times. His weak screams echoed throughout the night but no one heard him or came to his rescue, it was as if they were all asleep or choose to ignore his cries for help. Marvin panted for air after his kill. He spat on the lifeless bloody corpse and the last strength he had, dragged himself to the door which was strangely ajar.
As he reached the entrance, his heart kept beating heavily. It was pouring rain outside and Marvin was faced with an empty street.Great,he thought, drowning in the rain seemed like a perfect way to end it. He stood next to a dim lighted street lamp, lying his weak body on it. The street was quiet and empty, except from the pouring rain hitting the roofs. Marvin's eyes turned to his left. He thought he saw something or someone five feet away from him. Could it be some kind of hallucination or was there an actual human watching him in the rain?He was too exhausted to care. Sure,he had too much. He blinked his eyes but the figure remained on the spot. He was about to fall when an hand caught him just in time. With his eyes slightly open,he could make out the face of a pretty young lady around thirty six or five, she seem to be his age. “Careful next time, some of this roads are quite slippery!" Marvin felt butterflies in his stomach. Her voice was mesmerizing. “Th... Thanks for saving me. I'm Marvin Sall..."he paused.“...Davis!"
“Marvin Sall-davis?!"The woman asked with a chuckle. “Just Marvin Davis!"he lied.
“So, what's yours?!" Marvin managed to ask,his breath stinking of alcohol but the lady wasn't appalled.
“The name is Tania... Tania Swiches!" The lady said stroking her wet hair back to its right position. Marvin sniffled. The smell of her hair made him blush.
Divine...the smell of daises and roses, his two favorite ponies,he thought, under the influence of alcohol.
“We might wanna get out
of here before a storm comes, agreed?!"Tania suggested. Marvin nodded stupidly, smiling like an idiot revealing his set of white and yellow teeth. She aided him up to the pavement beside the beer parlor he was in. “See you around then, Marvin!"Tania said in a sweet voice Marvin wouldn't soon forget. He watched her disappear into the darkness like she was the darkness itself. She was mysterious,he thought, and that's exactly what he liked.
