Just like Marvin, Helen had her own demon. Three months before her encounter with him at Groceries and Grubs, she was with a man. A man who was always asking her for it and she often reluctantly gave herself to his desires. Those days weren't her best days but she had someone, someone to love and to love her also. However, it got broken when Helen's parents didn't accept their relationship, after two weeks of them dating and believing they know everything about each other."Why the fuck would they say no?!

I've done everything to make you happy, haven't I?!". He asked, his eyes mixed with anger and tears. He loved her,or most of all,her body. "They are just looking out for me! No reason to be all grouchy about it!". He turned to her, and gave her a stern look. Helen's eyes widened in terror as she saw fire in his eyes. She had never seen it before but now, it felt like he was really pissed. She nudged his ribs playfully, smiling at him.

"I'm sorry about my parents, Scott.

They don't always approve of my relationships but I assure you that

they are good people!". She said, staring at his angry green eyes. His whole body heated up in utter fury. He gave her a smile as they. Scott was occupied with his revenge,he let go of Helen and vanished into a dark alley when she wasn't looking.

Helen squeezed her hands trying to hold him tight but she felt nothing. She turned to where he was supposed to be but he wasn't there. Afraid of possible trespassers, she decided to spend the night with her parents. She walked gently across the snow searching for Scott on her way. It took her about three minutes to reach her parent's house. When she got there, she knocked at the door. No response,no footsteps approaching, nothing. She sighed suspiciously and knocked again. Still no damn response. She knew her parents would be mad at her for dating him but not answering the door for her was low, even for them. She was about to leave when she heard her mother moan, not of pleasure, happiness but that of pain. "Mom!"She called as she pushed her way into the living room. She kept hearing moans but now, that of her father. She rushed upstairs, gasping for air. The sweater she'd wrapped around her waist fell off but she didn't care. All she cared about was her parents. She banged on the door but it appeared to be locked. "Mom!Dad!You guys okay?!". She said jiggling the door knob. The door then opens from the inside and there stood Scott. "What are you doing here?!"she asked, surprised and worried in her voice. "Nothing, just came to have a chat with your parents!".

"So, where are they?!

I thought I heard something!". Scott placed both hands on her shoulder. "Come on,baby. They're asleep.

Let's give them some alone time,uh?!" But Helen wasn't stupid, she gathered all her strength and pushed him out of her way. "Helen, I'm...!"

Helen's mouth widened in shock and horror. The scene in front of her was messed up and bloody. Her parents holding hands, their heads on the window close to the bed and their remaining body parts on the ground. Helen dropped down to the ground and fainted. She couldn't believe he would do this to those she loved. She woke up moments later, Scott seated next to her side. She patted her aching head gently. "What...what happened!"She said. "You..you collapsed.Get some rest. You must be tired, get some rest!". He said, trying to make her go to sleep. "You...you killed them, didn't you?!"

Scott said nothing, just kept staring at her. "Didn't you?!"She yelled at him angrily, tears rolling down her cheeks. "I'm sorry, it was an accident!". She abruptly got up from bed. "Accident!you killed my parents 'cos they didn't accept you. Guess they were right about you all this time!". Scott tried to console her but she slapped him hard on his cheek. Mouth opened in shock. "You...Slapped...me?!". His voice sounded angry and surprised. His blood began to boil. "You're gonna regret this, you cunt!". He said, pointing a finger at her. He gave her one last sinister smile before leaving. Helen felt threatened by that for a bit. He wasn't going to hurt her,was he? He loves her too much to even do it. Is what she believes true, would his love for her overshadow revenge, and does she know what demonic secrets he's hiding from her?

Helen tried not to fall asleep. Her worried expression made it impossible anyways. She hadn't been eating properly since Marvin left. Well, she kicked him out, whose fault is it? But for some reason, she regrets it. Yes, he was a big fat jerk but she loved him and he loved her. All came crumbling down in just one night.

She sighed sadly as she locked her front door, ready to go relax with friends. She didn't notice the dark shadow watching her from a distance. A human silhouette dressed in a cloak lurks. She puts on a brown jacket with a black skirt, reaching her knees but tight making her look like a model. Helen was thirty six, she'd had her own fair share of misery, her parent's murder, her breakup with Marvin and Scott's impending revenge. The last one kept her in her room, five days after the break-up. But when some friends invited her to theirs for the night, she couldn't say no. She was walking on the scanty street, cuddling herself because of the cold. She stopped by a nearby Burger market and bought her and her friend a bite with milkshakes. She is familiar with the cashier, Charlotte. A friend of hers from college. Charlotte waved her goodbye without taking her eyes off the customer she was attending to. Helen smiled in reply. The doorbell chimes as she opens the door to leave. Her eyes tired but she was still very much active. She blinked trying to stop herself from falling asleep. It was for her friends. They'd really been there for her since the break up.

She was walking down a shortcut when she heard a familiar moan, some other voices yelling in unison and kicking sounds.''Marvin!''She said , with a mixture of joy and surprise and rushed to the sound of the scream. Sure enough, some good for nothing scums were on top of Marvin beating him up. Leave him alone!"Helen's weak voice managed to muster. The gangs took off without looking back. Helen immediately went to check on Marvin. Are you okay?!". She asked, attempting to lift him off the ground, giving him her hand. On the other hand, held the food for her friends.

Marvin stared at her confused. I'm sorry, who are you?!". Helen thought it was a joke, she chuckled softly. Not funny, Marvin. Come on, let's go home!". She said, sniffling. She was about to take his hand into hers when he pulled away immediately, giving her a weird look. He hissed at her violently and left. Nothing much as a thank you from him. Helen was left stunned by his outburst. What has happened to Marvin, the man she fell in love with? She let the tears roll down her eyes. She has waited for days to see him again, and now that she saw him, he doesn't know who she was anymore.

She smiled despite the hurt she feels inside. All she wanted was for him to be happy and even if it's not with her, as long as he's happy. "Take care, Marvin!" She said with a heavy heart and turned around to leave the creepy dark street, and continue her journey to her friend's. The road to her friend's place would take another six minutes and she was already exhausted. She dialed one of them, Victoria. She immediately picked up within seconds. "Hey girl, where are you at?!".She asked, her voice drunk. "Can you come pick me up, please?!".

"Okay, sure, why not?!" She said, jiggling her car keys. "Thanks, asshole!". Helen forced a smile and hung up. Helen covered her mouth with her napkin kept in her jacket pocket,as she felt a yawn coming up.

Victoria arrived at her spot in about seven to eight minutes. Helen mouthed a thanks as she got in the car. "You should have called me hours ago. It's no good pushing yourself when you're..." Helen stopped her mid sentence. "I'm not weak!". The smell of alcohol still lingered in her breath. "I'm sorry if you think that. Just looking after you,Helly". She said, turning to Helen and then the road. Helen smiled. "Thanks, Vick. You guys are the best!" She said, staring out the window with a worried expression. Victoria sensed it, she placed an hand on her cold hands. "Is everything okay, Helen?

You seem a little distracted!".

She smiled, trying to conceal her true feelings. "Nothing! I'm alright. Nothing to be worried about!". She said, her eyes still gazing out the window glass. Victoria sighed and the car came to a halt. The building was cladded with colorful decorations as though it was a party. Within minutes of her arrival,

Helen was surrounded with friends;Joshua, Julia, Audrey,Brenda and others. All were her friends from either high school or college. "Helen, long time no see!". Andrew smiled at her,as he embraced her into a warm hug. Juliet, smiled cheerfully at Helen. Juliet was thirty two and the youngest among them but she was smart, and beautiful that guys and even ladies lined up for her attention. While some of the ladies wore revealing gowns,Helen wore something simple,a purple blouse and tight jeans with her jacket. It seemed like this was going to be the party of the century but evil lurks in different corners and even in the nicest of all people.
