(Disclaimer: if you haven't listened to the Dark Side Of The Moon in full length and from start to finish, then you've been clearly missing out!)
We were all laying on the floor of Floyd's living room. Ana was on my left side and Ace was to my right, Chris still hadn't come and I was told that Lennon had something with his dad.
Floyd was currently kneeling in front of his record player and was carefully placing the vinyl on it. After the first few sounds of Speak To Me started playing he joined us on the floor. It was really nice, the sun shone through the light curtains which were silently flowing with the wind, like a dance. The breeze sometimes hit my nose and it was the best feeling ever.
So we just laid there on the floor, nobody said a single word and we enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and the amazing music. Then Breathe started playing, right after these legendary scream in the intro. I loved that song with all my heart, it held so many great memories and now we were making even more memories to it, all of us together. I couldn't help but feel so happy and grateful, that a single tear slipped out of my eye and made its way down my cheek. Nothing could ever compare to this amazing moment I could spend with my friends. And I was so glad to be able to call all of these amazing people my friends.
Leave, but don't leave me.
The song was a masterpiece, obviously, the whole album was and still is. But it still shocked me, how Breathe affected me. Maybe it was the composition, the lyrics or just their voices. Or the guitar slides. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it touched me deep down.
The song went by way to fast and we were now at the next song, which was more of a instrumental part again. I wasn't really sure wether they should be fillers but they were probably supposed not to be but to be a song of the concept in itself, so I just left my thoughts right there.
And it that moment we heard the doorbell ringing and Ace got up to open the door, it was probably Chris. Not much later we heard some shuffling and then Floyd laid back down on the floor, next to Ana.
"Why is everyone on the floor?" I heard Chris asking and I let out a grunting laughter. I could only imagine how funny we must've looked for Chris, as he was just coming in and everyone was laying on the floor.
"Fuck off mate, Time is playing!"
"Aye sorry lads," Chris laughed and eventually joined us on the floor. We were incredibly lucky that there was a big carpet right under us.
After two more songs, the doorbell rang again and this time I stood up to open the door. They said that maybe Lennon could make it so I kind of got my hopes up.
With caution, I opened the door and there he was. Lennon stood before me, with a big fat smile on his face and with a Pearl Jam shirt on. Eddie Vedder on his shirt was also smiling at me.
"Woaah look who made it," I said because it was the only thing that came into my mind. He chuckled a bit.
"Your favourite Skulls member," he jokingly cheered and pulled me into a hug, when we let go again I watched him with a raised Eyebrow.
"Ye sure about that mate," I joked to which he gasped loudly.
"Ouch, my heart!" He clenched his fist on his chest dramatically and closed his eyes in fake pain.
"Oi shut up mate," I giggled.
"Make him," Floyd screamed from the other room to which I immediately felt the redness crawling over my face. Pretty sure that I was blushing like no one has ever done before me. I mean not that I haven't thought about it, but I felt really embarrassed.
