Hinata watched as Naruto squirmed in the seat beside her. It pained her to see him so uncomfortable, but what was she to do? They were married now and nothing she did could change that.
"So...Hinata," he started.
"Y-yes?" She perked up at the sound of his voice.
"What do you think about all this?" He asked turning towards her.
"I...I think it's..."
"Stupid right?"
She frowned internally as he finished her sentence. She didn't think it was stupid, well the random pairing was, but she couldn't complain since she got her all time crush. But it was essential for their village.
"...right," she answered sadly.
"I know!" He exclaimed. "I would totally marry Sakura-chan if it wasn't for this."
Hinata gasped silently at his statement, if his outburst at the announcement of their pairing wasn't enough to lower her self-esteem, then this was the final blow.
"Not that there's anything wrong with you Hinata," he grinned. Hinata gave a lopsided smile as she tried to mask her disappointment. Anyone truly looking at her could see, but not Naruto.
Oh Naruto, she thought to herself.
Sakura slipped the form she'd just read across the table to her new husband. It was information about their address and other personal information.
"Well?" Sakura asked when she saw Sasuke looking at it.
"Well what?" He asked.
"Aren't you going to fill it out?"
He arched an eyebrow, "and why can't you?"
Sakura frowned, "but I don't-" Before she could even finish, Sasuke got up and left to go who knows where. "Jerk," she muttered as she got out a pen.
This is to be filled out by both persons in the wedlock.
"Well la-dee-da," she mused.
Husband's current address
"Hmm," Sakura thought. "Currently homeless," she spoke as she wrote.
Wife's current address
Sakura quickly wrote down her address.
Husband's hobbies
"Sulking in a dark corner, taking innocent girl's souls and eating tomatoes," she smirked.
Wife's hobbies
"Reading, swimming, studying, helping others and practicing medicine."
Couple's future address
Sakura bit her lip, she didn't know whether she'd be living with Sasuke based on his current attitude. But she couldn't stay in her empty house with all those memories. Blinking back tears she wrote Sasuke's address.
Like it or not, she'd be living with him.
"Alright. Hand up the forms," said Asuma-sensei.
Sakura did as she was told and watched as her husband reentered the classroom.
