"Sasori thank Kami it's you!" She exclaimed running towards him.
"It's good to see you too?" he questioned when Sakura embraced him tightly.
"Come on," she said as she ran to the other side of the car and got into the passenger's seat. He arched an eyebrow in confusion at her actions. What was she doing? "Come on," she said once more waving him over. Shrugging, he got into the car and drove off.
"Ah...where exactly are we going?"
"Oh, you're taking me to school," she said putting on her seatbelt.
"I am?" She nodded and made a move to whine down the window. "What happened to your car?"
"It's at my house," she said quietly.
Sasori glanced at her, "why aren't you at your house, I thought it was a little strange seeing you around here."
Sakura was silent for a moment before she answered, "I moved in with my husband..."
"Oh?" He asked. "And where is he? Why didn't he take you to school?"
Sakura forced a smile, "enough about me, what have you been up to?"
Sasori looked at her through the corner of his eyes, he wasn't fooled. Something was up. He shrugged nonchalantly, "Nothing, just enjoying single life."
Sakura flinched at the word 'single', what she'd give to use that term again. "Aren't you the lucky one?"
Sasori scoffed, "right...how have you been. You know..."
Sakura felt a soaring pain in her chest, but she didn't let it hinder the smile she put on for her old friend. "I've been good...some days are better than others. But I'm recovering."
"That's good, this whole village took a great hit, it's good that you're recuperating."
Yeah, she thought, recuperating. They talked for a bit more, before they entered the gates of Konoha High. "Thanks Sasori," she said as she got out of the car.
Sasori grabbed her hand just then, "hey, you know you can talk to me about anything right?" Sakura gave him a close eyed smile and nodded, "good, and I'm here if you need me. Just give me a call."
Sakura laughed, "aren't you the big brother?" She teased.
Sasori ruffled his hair and put on his sunglasses, "My job here is done. See you are round Kiddo." Sakura shook her head and closed the car door, but as soon as the car drove off there was a crowd of girls surrounding her.
Sakura froze, "ah..."
"Sakura!" Ino yelled and hugged her.
"What's going on?" Sakura asked eyeing the crowd.
"Alright, break it up," Ino instructed to the muttering crowd. "I got first dibs anyway," she smirked. The girls groaned and slowly walked away.
"First dibs on?" Sakura asked.
Ino smiled, "that handsome hunk that dropped you off just a minute ago. Who was that?"
Sakura laughed at her friends boldness, "oh Ino."
"What? I'm serious! Who was that? Do you have is number? Don't hold out on me Billboard Brow!"
Sakura ushered her squealing friend into the building as the bell rang. She was right on time.

Sasuke glanced up as a pile of books landed on his table. Staring into a pair of furious jade green eyes, he smirked. Looks like she made it after all.
