~ 5 months later ~

+' Eos pov '+

I have known Wyatt for almost three years now. It has been about five months since he asked me to marry him. Tara and I have gossiped a bit about wedding details all though I was never able to schedule anything to be set in place. Working in the mafia doesn't leave a lot of room for things like planning for a wedding. As much as I wanted to see Wyatt in a black suit, his face was watching me as I walked down the aisle towards him. I can imagine his muscle toned body through the outline of his shirt. His sharp jawline and....

"Eos, are you even listening to me, I swear your head is in a different place." Tara said, waving a hand in front of my face. "Oh no, uhm, sorry, I was thinking about something." I replied as I saw Tara crossing her arms.

"To be fair, I told you I burned all your hidden popcorn bags, and you didn't move." Tara snickered.

"You what!?" I got up, running to my snack drawer, seeing my popcorn boxes in their correct places. Tara busts out laughing, filling the room with a sense of joy. As I sat back on the bed, Tara and I were talking about if she would ever find a boyfriend when Wyatt walked in.

"So, when's the wedding." Tara said, pointing a finger to me and then to Wyatt.

"We haven't worked out all the details yet." I said with a sigh. "Oh my God, you guys, it has been -" Tara paused to count her fingers, "Like five months."

"Yes." Wyatt chimed in as he looked for a file he had put in our room earlier that day.

Tara got up, sprinting outside. I didn't even get the chance to follow her. I assumed she would come back, so I got up, walking over to Wyatt. I grabbed the waist line of his pants, pulling him to me. As I looked up, I could see a smile on his face before he bent down and kissed me. I giggled before handing him the file I knew he had been looking for.

"Thank you, Princess." He said, leaving a kiss on my cheek before he walked away back to his office. I sat for a few minutes, waiting for Tara to come back, but she didn't. I grabbed a book, walking to the living room where I read for a few hours before I heard a ding come from my phone.

Tara: Eos, grab Wyatt and meet me at County Road 58. By that tree, we always go star gazing at.

Eos: Why are you all the way over there? Is it literally in the middle of nowhere?

Tara: Just get your asses here

I set down my phone and sighed. What could she possibly need help with now. I got up skipping to Wyatt's office. I could hear yelling from outside the door before I walked in. Unsurprisingly, James sat in the chair across from Wyatt. I walked up to James, standing in front of him.   "James, you may go." I said, cutting Wyatt off mid sentence. James bolted out as I went up to Wyatt, stepping on a chair to give him a kiss.

"Princess, you interrupted my lecture." He said, running his hands through my hair.

"I know," I smiled. "But Tara texted me, and she needs us to meet her somewhere."

"She found another captive she needs help bringing back?" Wyatt asked me.

"She didn't say." Usually, it was odd for Tara to have Wyatt and I meet her together unless she needed help bringing in multiple captives. Wyatt got up, grabbed his keys, and opened the door for me. We made our way to the location Tara had sent us. She stood in the road waiting for us, which wasn't very usual for her either.

"What's up, Tara?" I said, peaking my head out of the car, as Wyatt parked it on the side of the road.

"Oh. nothing much. Just a surprise." She said with an odd smile.

Wyatt and I blindly followed Tara around a tree bend to the big willow tree we usually star gazed under. She had white and red flowers set up with rose petals on the ground and a small cake nearby.

"Oh, it's beautiful, Tara." I said, looking around as I tugged on Wyatt's arm to follow.

"I figured since you guys haven't gotten married yet, I might as well do it here." Tara said, grabbing a fake microphone out of her jeep. She grabbed my arms and positioned me to face across from Wyatt.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Today, we are gathered here to unite Eos McKinley and Wyatt Rocky." Tara said with a very confident voice. It was obvious she was the preacher as she held the microphone closer to her mouth. "Wyatt, please repeat after me. I promise."

"I promise." Wyatt did as she said.

"To love and cherish Eos, no matter the troubles. I promise to protect her at all costs." Tara said with a smile.

"To love and cherish Eos, no matter the troubles. I promise to protect her at all costs." Wyatt repeated, grabbing my hand. "Eos, please repeat after me." Tara said, nudging me with her foot. "I promise."

"I promise." I repeated with a smile.

"To love Wyatt with all my heart, and take a frying pan and hit him over the head whenever he is being stupid." She let out a loud giggle.

"To love Wyatt with all my heart, and take a frying pan and hit him over the head whenever he is being stupid." I repeated giggled as Wyatt was not impressed.

"I know, pronounce you, Mr. and Mrs. Rocky, you may kiss the bride." Tara said, holding her microphone against her chest like a stuffed animal."

Wyatt picked me up and kissed me, spinning me around. We got back in his car going back to our house to finish up the work we had left.

Sadly, I woke up, my book in my lap. It was all a dream, sadly.

~ A few days later ~

"Wyatt?" I said, walking into the bathroom as he was getting out of the shower, wrapping a towel around his waste.

"Yes, princess?" He said, grabbing my face to leave a kiss on my head.

"I know I shouldn't assume, but Tara has been going off a lot alone and not updating me like usual." I said, grabbing his hand on my cheek.

"Why don't we go look into it." He said with a grin, knowing I was good at stalking people.

We left a short time after Tara disappeared, tucking into the shadows. We followed her well over a few miles to the flower field. She sat there for a minute before a dark figure appeared, crossing the small river onto the field. A scrawny man walked into view, and his hair died blue. I couldn't make out the color of his eyes, but they were so dark they looked soulless. He handed a paper to Tara.

"Have you killed Eos and Wyatt yet?" The scrawny man said.

"No.. It's taking me longer than expected." She said, looking at the paper before handing it back to him. "I'll get it done, don't worry." She said before she spun on her heels to leave. Wyatt and I bolted before she was able to notice us.

"I will try and talk to her tonight." I said, turning towards Wyatt after we made it back. He nodded, going back to his office to straighten things out with James again.

I went to Tara's cave, and she usually made her poisons in. "What ya doing, Tara?" I said, skipping into the cave.

"Just make some new weapons." Tara said, showing me a knife.

"What kind are they?" I asked curiously, picking one up.

"Trust me, you don't want to know." Tara giggled, walking to a back room. I followed her and walked toward the back room.

"Don't go in there." Tara said a bit, snappy.

"Why not?" I said curiously.

"You would never look at me the same." Her head looked at the floor.

Tara had turned her back to grab her medicine bag as I peered into the back room seeing one of our Mafia members dead, a syringe still sticking in her arm as dry foam coated her mouth.

"Tara...your........ the one who's killing the mafia member?" My body froze as I turned seeing Tara dart off. I ran to Wyatt, telling him what happened, his hand hitting his desk. As much as I did not want her to be an enemy, it was obvious that she was our new main target. After all, she knew way too much about how our system ran. I knew if I was faced next to her, I wouldn't be able to kill my best friend.
