Ben sits on the porch with James, Iza and Gwyn. Iza is sitting on his right, James is sitting next him while Gwyn is squated behind James. A guy they just met, Oliver Greene, is stood by the door.
They're all quiet, Ben in some sort of shock, he's staring in front of him. James is the same, but instead of his angry self, the pressure of Gwyn's arms around his shoulders help.
Oliver seems to just be bored, his family is helping Carl. So he has nothing to do, which made him introduce himself to the newly arrived teens. Only two reacted normal, the girls, Ben and James were to worried about Carl.
The teens eventually go inside to get something to drink. But the commotion in the room where Carl is makes the boys into it. "Get them out of here!" the old man yells as they try to hold the little boy from his seizure.
The girls each grab one of them and start dragging. "Don't touch me!" Ben yells as he tries to get to his little brother.
Once out of the room and calm enough, Ben gets asked inside to give Carl a blood tranfusion. Gwyn sits with James, still stuck to his side. The boy they just met, Oliver, has gone to bed because he didn't have anything useful to do in his own eyes.
Iza sits on the chair on the porch, she is worried about her father. About Carl, about Ben, she was worried about them all.
She can't take it anymore so she decides to go in to see the Grimes family. She looks in shock as they're preparing to operate on Carl without the supplies that they actually need for the surgery.
Ben looks at her as she enters the room, she walks over to him and holds his hand. Luckily, before they can do anything...headlights shine in through the window.
They all go outside except for Patricia, outside Shane tells the group that the man who accidentally shot Carl didn't make it. Iza looks up at James who is standing at the top of the stairs.
Iza is still holding Ben's hand, Gwyn is standing one step below James, on the middle of the porch steps. But Iza just knows...neither of them believes that Otis accidentally died.
