Daryl walks into the door, Iza jumps up and runs into his arms. "Are you okay?" she asks.
"Yes, i'm more then fine," he says hugging her back.
Daryl goes to leave again to find Rick and Shane, the whole group goes outside but stops by the porch as they see a herd coming straight to them.
"Patricia, kill the lights," Hershel says.
"I'll get the guns," Andrea says.
"Maybe they're just passing like the herd on the highway. Should we jsut go inside?" Glenn asks Daryl who seems to be in charge now.
"Not unless there's a tunnel downstairs i don't know about. A herd that size would rip the house down," he says.
Ben looks at the teens behind him. "Grab your stuff, load it in the jeep," he says softly because Hershel is refusing to leave the farm.
They all go upstairs and starts frantically packing their stuff. "You girls ready?" Ben asks as him, James and Oliver stand in the doorway.
"It's time to start the shootout! Let's go," Daryl shouts up the stairs.
The teens all go downstairs and get in the truck. They start shooting and riding by the fance. Iza is sat on top of the jeep, with Gwyn while James and Oliver hang out of the windows.
Iza stops and looks at Ben before climbing back in the passengers seat. "We are not getting anywhere! We are only using up our amunition. What do we do?" she asks.
"Carl!" they suddenly hear Lori screaming over the walkers.
"Carl is missing?" James asks looking at Ben who is looking at his mother.
James groans as he looks outside. "We drive a few rounds. We look at what the others do. When we see the leave, we leave," Ben says after he thought about it while biting his nail.
"Okay, everybody agree?" Iza asks.
"Fine by me," James says raising his gun out the window again.
Iza looks at Ben before she gets back to the roof and starts shooting walkers again. They see Lori leave with Beth and T-dog. Soon enough, Glenn and Maggie leave making Oliver and Gwyn sigh in relieve as their siblings are safely off the farm.
Ben and James sigh in relieve as he sees Carl, Rick and Hershel get off the farm. "We have to go!" Iza shouts as she sits down next Ben.
Oliver looks back at the farm as they drive away from it. The barn is burning down, the barn that held his older brother and his mother. The house empty forever, the house that he had grown up in together with his twin sister. The house that he used to be happy in, until it all started.
Gwyn grabs his hand as she sits between him and James. James is staring out the window, while Iza grabs Ben's hand and holds it tightly. The teens start driving to the highway until they have to stop for a minute.
"Ben?" Iza asks looking at him.
"Did we see everyone leave?" he asks looking in front of him.
James sighs rubbing his forehead. "Here it comes," he mumbles.
"Did...Did we see them all leave? My parents? Carl? Did somebody see Carl leave? What about Beth? Hershel? Daryl? Andrea? Carol?" he stammers as he looks at Iza and then the other three in the back.
"Yes! We saw them all leave! Everyone left, except for my father, Iza's father, Andrea and Carol. Patricia and Jimmy are goners!" James shouts.
"We have to get to the highway. Let James drive," Iza says making Ben nod.
They make it back to the higway where they arrive just in time as the others are talking to each other. "I see my dad!" Iza smiles as she sits up.
"I see my brother..." Gwyn breaths out relieved.
James stops the jeep and everybody gets out. "Ben! James!" Carl yells before running to the two teens.
Daryl runs to his daughter and hugs her. "Are you okay?" he asks.
"Yes, Ben got me out," she smiles as she holds onto him a little tighter.
Daryl mouths a 'thank you' to Ben, Gwyn is hugging with Glenn while Oliver is hugging with his family.
Lori hugs Ben and James with relieving sighs and laughter as she kisses the sides of their heads. Both boys hold onto her with tears in their eyes.
The entire group leaves and goes on the road. The teens in the jeep, Glenn, Maggie, Hershel and Beth in the same car. Rick, Lori, Carl and T-dog in the same car. Daryl and Carol on his motorbike.
They are riding when Rick suddenly honks and they all stop. The teens stay by the jeep as the others decide on a plan. Rick is talking about finding a new place, then Beth brings up Randall and Daryl starts about him finding Randall.
"We're all infected," Rick reveals.
"What?" Daryl asks confused.
"At the cdc, Jenner told me. Whatever it is, we all carry it," Rick explains.
Iza looks at her father, he looks at her. Both worried about the other while the others start blaming Rick. Rick just walks away as he can't take the judgement from their faces.
"We should start looking for firewood," Daryl says making everyone nod.
Everyone is sat at the fire late at night. The teens sitting together in a corner, Iza sits next Ben who looks at his mother and brother. James is sat the farthest in the corner while Gwyn is sat with Oliver in silence.
Suddenly, there is rustling in the trees making everybody get up scared. Ben goes to his mother and brother where he squats by them.
Everyone starts talking about leaving until Rick snaps and starts a rant. "I killed my best friend for you people for Christ sakes! You saw what he was like, how he pushed me, how he compromised us, how he threatened us. He staged the whole Randall thing, led me out to put a bullet in my back. He gave me no choice. He was my friend, but he came after me," Rick continues as Carl starts crying in his moms chest, "my hands are clean. Maybe you people are better off without me. Go ahead. I say there's a place for us, but maybe...maybe it's just another pipe dream. Maybe, maybe I'm fooling myself again. Why don't you...why don't you go and find out yourself? Send me a postcard. Go on, there's the door. You can do better? Lets see how far you get. No takers? Fine. But get one thing straight...you're staying, this isn't a democracy anymore," Rick says.
James is having tears running down his face, he has no hard feelings for Rick. A piece of him knew the second he didn't see Shane with Rick and Carl leaving the farm.
Ben is shocked as he looks at James, his best friend, his father had killed his own best friend. Gwyn is also shocked as she looks at her older brother. Iza is looking at her dad who looks back at her. Oliver looks at Maggie, knowing his father believes in Rick no matter what.
All five teens know...it isn't the best, but it is the safest to stay with Rick. Mostly together...
