Chapter 17

 Lorenzo pov

As we arrived at the station, I got a text from Greyson saying that he gave her laughing gas so she was sleeping right now.

I got out of the car while Carter got out of his. He wanted to be alone so I let him.

"You ready" I asked him, he nodded. I looked at the others and they also nodded

Elliot is jumping up and down which made me smile at him. "Calm down a little bit," I said.

"You mean a lot." Xander said to me, putting his hand on Elliot head to make him stop jumping.

"Xander you don't need to be that rude, Elliot's happy, let him be happy." Xavier scolded his twin, but Xander looked at him with a death glare. To which Xavier responded by putting his hands up in surrender

We all walked into the station.

I could see Carter on his phone probably saying we're here.

"Blake's coming," Carter said when he saw me looking at him.

On cue Blake walks to where we are "Hi guys."

Blake is wearing a guy sweatshirt, probably Greysons, with black leggings with her brown hair down to her back, her brown eyes and a silver septum piercing.

She so was scared to get that piercing, she wouldn't let anyone do it but Carter.

Carter stayed up all night searching on how to do it. It was pretty funny, he was practicing on little dolls.

By the time he did Blake, he knew what he was doing and was done in under a minute.

Blake on the other hand was being dramatic. She kept saying "This is going to hurt," "I'm going to die" and then "Oh really? Your done? That wasn't bad."

"Are you coming Lorenzo?" Blake asked. I didn't even realize they were talking, I was too in my thoughts.

"Yeah I am," and we started walking to Blake's office. When we got there she warned us to be quiet.

When we walked into the room Greyson was holding someone. He was laying in the chair with his head on the wall and his hands on the person's back rubbing soothing circles.

"She's sleeping right now," Blake whispered

"Then wake her up!" Xander said a little too loud.

Blake hit Xander on the top of the head "Shut up."

Never get on Blake's bad side. If you do, run.

She scares me. She's the world's best assassin and everyone's scared of her. When she said she wanted a job at the station, I told her it wasn't a good idea because they were trying to put her in jail but Blake being Blake threatened the chief of police.

I still have no clue what she said to him to this day and I never will, even Greyson doesn't know and that's a little scary. I don't know how he does it. How is he not scared of her?

It's so crazy, because Blake is shy and quiet most of the time. You would never think she was a cop, let alone be able to kill people.

Greyson makes her blush which is funny. Seeing how shy she can get, it still surprises the hell out of me.

Anyways back to what's currently happening.

"You can't tell me to shut up you're not my mother or wait I don't have one so you definitely can't!" Xander shouted

I was about to tell Xander to leave when there was a scream.

"It's okay Harper," Greyson said. Wait that scream was her?

I looked over at the girl. She was shaking when Greyson stood up out of the chair and started rocking back and forth.

"Breathe, Harper. You're okay. I got you," he said looking down at her while she was looking at him.

Flashback to when they were little.

"Xander stop trying to run your brother over," I said picking up a crying 5 year old Elliot off the floor.

7 year old Xander pouted "Hey put him back down im not done."

Xavier got up from the couch and hit Xander in the head "Don't be mean to Elliot!" Xavier shouted.

Carter and Tony were watching the twins while I held a crying Elliot who may have broken his arm.

"It's okay buddy," I told him as I sat him down on the couch. Tony quickly got up and got an ice pack. "Thanks Tony," I said and he smiled at me.

Elliot was rubbing his eyes "I know you're tired," he shook his head "Yes, you are. You're falling all over the place."

Elliot tried to move his arm but only cried more.

Harper was on the couch cuddling Tony when she too started crying.

Oh boy.

"Harper, it's okay," Tony said hugging 4 year old Harper who was watching Elliot cry.

Greyson walked in looking like he just woke up from a nap. "What's happening in here."

"Xander tried to run Elliot over when he fell over because he's tired and now Harper's crying because Elliot is." Carter answered him.

Greyson just stood there for a minute trying to understand what was happening, while two kids were crying their eyes out.

Yeah, that's not easy.

Greyson went over to Harper and picked her up.

She grabbed his shirt as he started rocking her back and forth. She was also tired as she started to rub her eyes.

"Shhh. Twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are..." Greyson started singing her favorite song, trying to calm her down.

I looked back at Elliot who was watching Harper. He looked at me and did grabby hands with his one uninjured arm "You want up too?" I asked and he answered with a nod.

"Okay buddy. Come on." I picked him up, making sure to be careful of his arm. He grabbed my shirt and put his head on my shoulder as I rocked him.

Soon after, they both fell asleep.

Harper got put down in her crib and Greyson told her one last thing before leaving her. "Goodnight, dandelion."

While Greyson was busy with Harper, I went to put Elliot to bed. "Goodnight buddy."

I kissed them both before I also left.
