" I can see you waiting down the hall from me. And I could see you up against the wall with me. What would you do? Baby, if you only knew that i can see you. "
"Fuck!" Athene exclaimed. The bin she'd put the silver case in was now gone, meaning the twins had found it, "Bastard." She muttered to herself, cursing the West London man she'd met as she searched the rest of the lounge quickly, wondering if they'd stashed it somewhere else.
She checked under seats, in cupboards, the moved the furniture around, basically turning the whole room upside down searching for the case. After the lounge looked like a tornado had hit it, she decided to find Ladybug and tell him what was going on.
Walking down the compartments, looking at every seat looking for Ladybug, once she reached the snack bar, the wind pushed her around, she looked to one of the doors which was open and she could see a pair of hands holding on for dear life.
"Ladybug." She said, not surprised he'd gotten himself into that situation. She grabbed his arms, helping him get himself back on the train. As the two sat on the floor, Ladybug catching his breath, Tangerine had hoisted himself back in and was stood, panting.
As his eyes travelled, they landed on Athene, "You're fucking joking, you're working with this bell-end?!" He asked exasperated.
"And you're working for the fucking White Death." Athene said as she stood up, grabbing hold of the wall beside her.
Before he could respond, he saw Ladybug getting up and making his way towards him. Before Ladybug could do anything, Tangerine had tackled him, flipping him so Ladybug was laid on his back on the floor.
As Tangerine held chopsticks over Ladybug's eyes, trying to jab them into his face, Athene wrapped her arm around Tangerine's chest from under his arms, trying to get the best force to pull the man off of her partner. She found Ladybug annoying, but she couldn't let him kill her partner, she wouldn't hear the end of it from Maria.
Despite Tangerine knowing he was supposed to hate Athene, he couldn't help but love the feeling of her arms wrapped around his body, even if she was doing it just to help Ladybug.
As all three assassins used their force on each other, Tangerine's phone rang, but chose to ignore it.
"You gonna get that?" Ladybug asked.
He shook his head, pushing harder against Ladybug, "No."
"You should, could be important." Athene said close to his ear. After a couple more seconds of Tangerine contemplating the two options and also getting a little distracted by Athene speaking so close into his ear, he let go, sitting against the cupboards as he pulled his phone out of his pocket.
"Yeah, what do you want?" He asked, bringing his head up to his head.
"The white death says to get off at the next stop with the briefcase or he will kill everyone on that train." The voice through the speaker spoke. Ladybug and Athene looking at each other, trying to come up with a plan to avoid being killed by The White Death.
"Okay, yeah, I can make it, but Lemon, he's a bit tied up right now." Tangerine replied.
"Both of you this time. With the case. Or everyone dies." The voice said, Tangerine looked up at Athene who was fixing the holster strap on her thigh, exposing a lot of her leg.
"Fucking paranoid, this lot." Tangerine shook his head, hanging up, "You don't happen to have the case on you, do ya?"
"No." Athene responded, realising then that it wasn't him or his twin who had taken the case and that there was another person on the train working.
Tangerine nodded with a pained look on his face, "Yeah, I don't think I'd reach Lemon in time, anyway. You've still got his phone," Tangerine said to Ladybug who was nodding, "Well... game's up, mate. For what it's worth, you seem like a right fucking asshole and I'm glad you're gonna fucking die with me. Also, I don't know what the fuck you're doing working with him." Tangerine said the last part to Athene who gave him a nod, also not knowing how she'd gotten roped into working with Ladybug.
"That's nice." Ladybug said.
"Do they know what Lemon even looks like?" Athene asked as Tangerine winced in pain, getting up from where he was sat.
After devising a plan, Athene sat in one of the seats, looking out of her window as she watched Ladybug and Tangerine talk to assassins of The White Death, holding a random silver briefcase they found on the train.
She watched as Ladybug held the case up in the air, flicking his fingers over the lock and knocking it open, clothes spilling out of it onto the floor. Athene silently cursed as she got up from her seat, meeting them in the compartment dividers as they ran back onto the train, right before the doors closed.
Her and Tangerine looked at him with pissed expressions, "I know, I know. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I have this bad luck thing." Ladybug defended himself.
"Oh, is that what you call it?" Tangerine replied.
"I hit the thing and it went-"
"Why did you even bother doing that?" Athene asked cutting Ladybug off from what he was rambling about, just as annoyed as Tangerine.
"I was trying to sell it."
"Well, I don't think they were in the market for fucking dildos and pantyhose, were they?" Tangerine asked.
"But they were buying it." Ladybug pointed his finger at the other two, Athene shook her head.
"Yeah because you kept your fucking mouth shut." Athene said with her arms crossed.
The three stayed there until the next stop, Tangerine and Athene glaring at Ladybug the whole way while they both took quick glances at each other.
"You know what's waiting for us in Kyoto." Ladybug said, leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets, "We should just get off this train, now."
"If you think I'm stepping off this train without Lemon or the case, you must be mistaken." Tangerine replied as the train pulled into the station.
"Okay, well the case is in the first-class lounge in a bin. It's behind the bar. It's yours," Athene let Ladybug tell him that, knowing the case wasn't there, but it would mean he wouldn't get it anyway, "Me? I'm off. I'm gonna go find a temple and revaluate my choices or something."
Tangerine stepped in front of the door, not letting Ladybug get off, "Ooh, that sounds very lovely, but here's the deal; I still need a fall guy." He said, sighing, making Ladybug step back to where he was.
"You need a fall guy." Ladybug mumbled.
"Yeah." Tangerine nodded as Athene watched the scene play out in front of her.
"I understand I-I get it."
"It's a bit of a conundrum, really, because I'm thinking; do I hand him back in one piece, or do I chop you up into little pieces and stuff you inside a fucking Momomon. That's what's going through my head right now." Tangerine said as Ladybug put both hands on the walls either side of him, nodding and sighing loudly.
"Hmm, or-"
"Oh have you got a better idea, have ya? I'm not doing it to her." Tangerine pointed to Athene.
"You know, before us now is just a wall," Ladybug began.
"Here we go." Athene mumbled, looking down at her feet.
"But, it's just an illusion man, it's a construct. Because int hat wall sits a window, a window of opportunity- damn, no it's a door. Within that wall is a door."
"I'm finding it very hard to follow the story." Tangerine said, getting frustrated.
"My point is; that door is closing." Ladybug said just before picking Tangerine out of the train and onto the platform floor with his foot, the door closing before Tangerine could get up.
"Oh my god, Ladybug." Athene rubbed her forehead as he laughed loudly, waving his arms in the air.
