Luz loved exploring the most thrilling and magical parts of the Boiling Isles,but one thing she had yet to appreciate was the plant life of this place and what it had to offer.She figured they might be just as important,and after a bit of research through discarded books Eda had,she finally stumbled upon a book of unique plants.They were rare yet it was just around this time that they would have a higher chance of finding.So Luz decided that today would be the day to go exploring in the forests of the Boiling Isles on her own,after much convincing of course.
Walking through the forest her eyes scanned everything and anything that could help her find these plants.However,it was proving to be more difficult than she imagined as she had been out here for a while now.
" This isn't going how I planned," She commented to herself as she looked through pages for clues.She thought about getting Willow to help her out.
She wasn't being attentive and tripped over a stone,tumbling down a small hill and landing in a pile of leaves that had fallen from the trees.
Spitting a leaf out, she stood again,dusting any dirt that may have clung onto her.She was about to give up when she saw it,the most beautiful flower she had ever seen.

" Woah,you're gorgeous," Luz spoke beginning to walk towards the flower,it was singular and not another in sight.
She reached her hand out to grab it,only for it to move away from her.
She tilted her head confused," huh? "
At first Luz thought it was alive,but that quickly changed when it was lifted slightly and carried away by something small.It was moving fast with the flower and Luz wasn't about to give up so easily.
" H-hey!Get back here! " Luz called after chasing the flower and whoever was running away with it.Luz thought it would be easy to catch but she was far from wrong,the creature seemed to be agile,dodging whenever Luz tried to grab the flower.The more she chased it the more she could hear small heaving and huffing,with an occasional startled yelp when she got too close.
" Oh come on! " Luz huffed about to call it quits,but luckily she looked up in time to see that the flower had stopped a few feet away,the mysterious creature seemingly to be tired out.
Luz took the opportunity to grab the flower,but the little human wasn't about to let go so easly either.
Wait.
" Human!? " Luz practically shouted in shock as the little human held onto the flower not letting go.
" I saw it first!I need it! " They yelled as Luz used her other hand to prevent the tiny person from dangling from the flowers stem.
" Woah!I've never seen one of you guys before!Could you perhaps be a borrower? " Luz asked as excitement and curiousity took over rather than confusion.The tiny person appeared human,their ears were giving mixed signals,they weren't pointed nor round but slightly in the middle.Luz was quite shocked that the borrower wasn't scared of her,not one bit,she had read in stories and even books in the Boiling Isles that stated borrowers were tiny shy creatures.Though,upon being in the Boiling Isles for some time she realized some fantasy creatures described in the human world was far fetched from what was displayed here.
" I WAS a borrower,but I stumbled upon and orb thing,followed it, and the next thing I know!Bam!It flies into my chest and THIS! " The borrower says removing the layered cloth from their neck to reveal petals that seemed to grow on their skin,they were a pretty (f/c) colors and by the looks of them,seemed to trail more downward on their body.
" My viliage and parents kicked me out thinking it was a contagious disease!B-but I swear it's curable!It's curable right? " The borrower rambled,clearly more scared about what they had grown on their skin rather than the human that was holding them in her palm.
Luz didn't know what to say,she didn't exactly know what kind of magic this was and if it even is curable but she felt the urge to want to help.After all,this borrower clearly had no one and couldn't relay on themself.They looked to be her age for a borrower.
" I don't know what's wrong,b-but I think I know someone who can help!Why don't you come back with me!If you'd like," Luz asked finding herself stumbling to say the right words to reassure them.
It was then the borrower realized the true situation they were in.Talking to a human and exposing all their weakness to her.Yet the human showed no ill intent from the start.
" I can promise you we'll try and get to the bottom of this,um...what's your name?Mine is Luz!Luz Noceda! " Luz introduced.
