■□Lafayette□■

The war was over and it had been. about two years now and Lafayette was missing his friends. Sure he's gotten many letters from Mulligan, Laurens and Hamilton.

Alot has happend with in those two years. Hamilton and Jefferson has made amends, Burr had disappeared after the death of Theodosia SR, Laurens finally came out as gay- Even though that's punishable by death. It was a secret to be kept in their friend group- well more bi then anything.

Washington has been enjoying his retirement, the letters from Washington have been full of Washington telling Lafayette everything he's done so far and how he's been doing.

Lafayette smiles to himself thinking of all the memories and letters. He decides it time for a visit....a surprise visit.

Lafayette had called for a ship and he was now packing things into a large leather bag. He throws in extra linen cloths and a 3 differnt coats. He makes sure to have at least four book as well. He grabs some fresh quills and parchment, placing them gently in a clear space in his bag. He looks at his ink, debating whether or not to bring it or borrow one later. He grabs it a securely closes it and places it in his coat pocket
As he packs he uncovers his sword. It's sheathed and tucked away under his bed, where he had been looking for another book.

He pulls it out and smiles, he remembers showing his friends how to weld it. He remembers his mother giving it to him. Then he remembers all the people he's killed with it.

His senses fill with a battle scene. He hears screams and he swears his coat is blue instead of the green one he had put on earlier. There's blood on his usually clean floor. The stench of gunpowder makes him want to gag.

Lafayettes senses clear just as fast as they were overwhelmed. He looks at the sword in his hands and sighs. He tucks it in a small leather strap on his bag specifically for holding swords or muskets.

He closes his bag and lays it on his bed. Lafayette pulls out a small pocket watch that was given to him by Mulligan. It's almost noon and he was to meet the ship at noon. He grabs his stuff and leaves his house, telling his maids he'll be back in two months time.

Lafayette makes his way to the docks, smiling at people as they pass. As he gets closer he can smell the salt and see sails. He steps out on yhe deck, watching for somone to wave him down. He hears somone shout his name and he sees a man waving at him.
Lafayette runs over waving to the captain.

He is shown to his room, where he places his stuff in a sea chest and lays in a hammock. He knows it's going to be a long ride so he grabs a book and starts reading

It had been about 6 weeks of very calm seas and Lafayette was just alerted that they were close to the states. Lafayette smiles and walks to the bow of the ship. He lean his elbows on the rails and looks out at the land ahead of him.

There's ships of differnt sizes that ride along side the ship Lafayettes on. They head for the New York port. A few ships pass them going the other way.
