Grace and Hannah are laughing as they drive, the windows open and beautiful California sunshine warming their cheeks. Grace sings along to the radio and Hannah watches her, blushing deep pink when Grace catches her staring. Hannah doesn't mean to stare. It just happens.
I mean how could she not, Grace is the most gorgeous girl in her world? At least to Hannah she is.
Hannah has liked Grace since-well since forever. Everything about her is perfect, and not just her looks. From her kind nature to her hasty personality, Hannah is head over heels in love. She doesn't tell Grace any of this, obviously. Grace is straight and very adamantly so. So Hannah is stuck.
Hannah pulls into Mamrie's driveway to pick her up. They're car pooling to Vidcon. Mamrie sends Hannah a text, letting her know she's getting some packing done last minute and will be out soon. Grace groans when she hears this, rolling her eyes but not getting to upset. This is just how Mamrie is.
"Grace! Turn this song up!" Hannah exclaims. Grace turns the radio up a little, 'Shut Up And Dance With Me' blaring through the speakers. "This woman is my destiny!" Hannah sings along loudly, trying to get Grace to join in.
"She said shut up and dance with me." Grace mumble sings. Hannah gives her a look and Grace scowls, singing the next part louder. "Oh don't you dare look back, keep your eyes on me."
"I said you're holding back," Hannah adds.
"She said shut up dance with me." They both sing. Grace looks into Hannah's eyes, her mesmerizing oceanic blue eyes that can make her knees go weak. Grace's heart falters and her breath picks up as adrenaline runs through her body.
Grace leans in quickly and kisses Hannah on the mouth, feeling Hannah's surprise through the kiss. It feels like every atom in her body is on fire and she likes this feeling. She's never felt it with anyone else and she doesn't want to feel with it anyone but Hannah. Then Hannah pulls away.
"Grace." She breathes out. "What the hell was that?" Grace's heart drops. Fuck, she thinks. I messed up.
"I-um-I didn't mean to I was just-" Grace stammers as tears prickle in her eyes.
"It's not that I didn't enjoy that because that was the best damn kiss I've ever had," Hannah goes on, realizing Grace's reaction to her words. "I just thought you were straight." Grace blushes and looks away.
"I'm certainly not straight." Grace mutters. Hannah just smiles. She takes her hand and cups Grace's chin, looking into Grace's eyes again.
"I'm proud of you Smellbig." Hannah whispers.
"Thanks Han." Grace says, hugging Hannah tightly.
"I know this sounds so stupid but can we kiss again because that was ama-" Hannah starts asking. Grace doesn't let her finish, pressing her lips roughly against the other girls. Hannah doesn't know how long they would've kissed if her phone hadn't buzzed.
Mamrie: on my way out, see you guys in a sec
Hannah pouts a little, not wanting to stop kissing Grace. Grace just smirks and kisses Hannah's cheeks before pulling down the mirror to reapply her lipstick.
