While perusing the hologram screen, Amala came across a riveting news headline that shed light on Isla's crucial involvement in helping the authorities unravel a case of illegal wildlife trafficking.

The headline proclaimed, "Criminal Mastermind Mr Anjaly Arrested!"

The illicit operation was reported as the most significant wildlife trafficking discovery in recent memory. Shockingly, it was disclosed that an astonishing 70000 elephants had been brutally slaughtered for their tusks, while 500 rhinos had been hunted for their valuable horns within a single year. Furthermore, the trafficking of tigers to meet the demand for traditional medicine was exposed, unveiling the distressing plight of endangered species.

As if the cruelty inflicted upon these animals wasn't grave enough, the unsanitary conditions in which trafficked wildlife are transported were also underscored for their potential role in spreading diseases. Notably, the transportation of these endangered species primarily takes place through ports, particularly in shipping containers.

In response to these distressing revelations, the International Welfare of Animals has proposed tactical measures to aid customs officials at ports. These measures encompass rigorous checks for inconsistencies in cargo weight and appearance and vigilant scrutiny of potentially falsified documentation.

Furthermore, they advocate for a zero-tolerance policy from customs and law enforcement agencies towards such atrocious activities. Notably, efforts have also been made to identify the most utilized routes employed by criminal networks engaged in wildlife trafficking.

Certain cultures have long believed in utilizing tiger bones for traditional medicine, such as making glue or soaking them in wine. This belief has driven the demand for tiger products and, unfortunately, contributed to the decline in tiger populations, posing a grave threat to their survival.

The trade encompasses hundreds of millions of wild plants and animals from thousands of species. To offer a glimpse of the magnitude of wildlife trafficking, records show over million tonnes of fish, million of live birds, and tonnes of medicinal plants traded in just one year.

Amala was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the issue. She started to cry, feeling like the world's weight was on her shoulders. Karina, seeing her distress, immediately went to her and comforted her.

Karina comforted her, saying, "Look, it's because of you that the world is changing. People are beginning to care for the animals; they have love in their hearts. Can't you see? There is no need to cry." Amala wiped away her tears and looked into Karina's eyes, realizing the impact of her efforts. She felt a glimmer of hope and renewed determination, knowing her actions made a difference in the world. With Karina's words echoing in her mind, Amala stood up with a newfound sense of purpose, ready to continue her work with a lighter heart.
