Salama, as a 13 year old girl, cherished her dollhouse above all else. Despite her mother's bedtime announcement, at 9 pm, she quietly turned on her nightlight and crept towards her dollhouse, intending to spend a little time playing before sleeping. As she approached the dollhouse, she noticed her four-year-old brother sitting on his bed, with the bedcover draped over his head, trying to observe her actions sneakily. He chuckled and softly asked, "What are you up to?" Salama replied, "It's not complete."
She looked at all the items from a box and decided to pick which best suited the dollhouse. There were tiny vases, miniature picture frames, and even a piano. She carefully examined each piece, envisioning where it would fit best in her dollhouse. After much thought, she selected the dainty vases to place on the side table in the living room and the miniature picture frames to hang on the walls. As for the little piano, she decided it would look perfect in the corner of the room next to the window.
Amala spent hours carefully sticking a beautiful pink-coloured wallpaper on her living room walls. The wallpaper featured delicate butterflies that seemed to come to life as they fluttered across the room. Once the wallpaper was in place, she arranged a charming miniature sofa and tiny chairs, creating a cozy seating area. The rich dark brown flooring provided a perfect contrast to the walls. Finally, she placed a stunning lamp that added a warm and inviting glow to the room, completing the design with a touch of elegance. As she stood back to admire her work, Amala couldn't help but smile at the transformation of her living space.
Amala gazed at her dollhouse and heard her parents' footsteps approaching her room. She switched off the light and silently crept to bed, pretending to be fast asleep. Minutes later, when the footsteps faded, she and her brother giggled.
Salama had always been captivated by the artistry and intricacy of architecture. After earning her degree in architecture, she landed a job at the prestigious Ling Architecture Firm in Mara. Excited for this new chapter, she relocated to Mara and found a cozy place near the office. Every morning, as she made her way to work, Salama couldn't help but smile as she walked across the enchanting bridge leading to the firm. The vibrant green leaves and flowers seemed to dance in the gentle breeze, and the sunlight filtering through the foliage created a dazzling, warm glow. The picturesque scene on the bridge served as a serene and inspiring start to her workday, setting the tone for creativity and productivity. As she walked along the bridge, Salama often found herself marvelling at the intricate designs and details of the carvings, drawing inspiration from the artistry surrounding her. It was as if the bridge itself was a masterpiece, an architectural wonder that stirred her imagination and fueled her passion for creating beautiful spaces.
As she entered the turntable, She found her friend Kainoa waiting for the elevator. "We have an early meeting at 9. Come to the meeting room, Cygnus," he said with urgency. Salama nodded in understanding, quickly pressed the button for the elevator, and stepped inside as the doors slid open.
Kainoa, Andrea, and Salama sat in the meeting room, eagerly waiting for the meeting to start. The room was filled with anticipation as they chatted about the upcoming project. Suddenly, a person appeared on a remote conference call and greeted them, "Hi, guys! I have some good news. We have been asked to create an initial design for the Winders firm. They are planning to develop a resort in Kanan.". We need to come up with an initial design.
We received an exciting invitation to visit Kanan, where we would spend three days at the construction site and present our design for a prestigious project. The pressure was on as we knew that other firms would also showcase their designs, and the hosts would choose the one they preferred. With the taxi ride arranged for the next day, we packed our essentials and prepared ourselves for the journey ahead. The prospect of working on our design in such a stunning location was both exhilarating and daunting, but we were resolved to put forth our best effort and let our creativity shine.
