Aubrey

It had been a few weeks since Aurelia told me she was expecting  what was my second child. We have been talking on and off since then. I believed Lia the instant she told me she was pregnant. It took me hearing the words from her to realize that I didn't necessarily feel that way with Charlie. I was so eager to have a family and I was running from all the drama Aurelia and I were going through at the time and should have stuck by her. Those hard times would have made us closer as soon as the smoke cleared.

What her father did would have never occurred. To think she had my baby in her while all that was happening and both my girls survived. I haven't told Charlie yet. Life with her has still been incredibly unbearable as of late. Every day it's been something. My life was so fucked that I told my mother and even she was disappointed, not having much to say in terms of what I should do and she is queen of life advice. The one to help me realize the error of my ways barely had any words of comfort.

Aubrey: Is there anything u need from me? U already kno I got u and bbygrl financially.

"Hey baby," Charlie waddled into the kitchen from the bedroom.

"Hey," I answered, still looking down at my phone waiting for the chime indicating that Lia had responded to my message.

"Can I get you anything to eat?"

She's offering to make me breakfast? She's in a better mood, " Nah, I'm good."

Exiting the kitchen and making her way to my position in the living room, she slowly lowered herself onto the couch next to me, "Look baby, I know I have been difficult and I know I been on your ass but..."

My phone chimed.

Aurelia: We're good. All I need to know is if you're in or out?

"Aubrey!"

I felt a stinging sensation on my upper left arm where Charlie's fist connected with my skin.

"Shit...what?!"

"I'm trying to apologize and yo ass aint even listenin'!," She scowled, "What new bitch got yo attention now, huh?!"

With both the women in my life pregnant I figured it best to not tell Charlie about Aurelia's pregnancy. Lia is still in the early months and the last thing I need is for Charlie causing any stress to her. She's been through enough. Plus knowing Charlie's ass would probably try to fight her pregnant and all.

"No one! Damn!" I lied.

"Then let me see your phone!" She reached to take it from me.

I moved pushing her arm out my way.

"You need to quit wit that shit Charlie, if this is gonna work, you gotta trust me!"

She folded her arms over her growing belly, "Nigga aint nothin' bout you I can trust."

Standing up to leave I didnt even bother trying to argue with her, I threw on a pair of shoes and left the house.
