We took her truck since she said the path wasn't skateable. She was right, the drive took us over some backroads I'd never be able to get my board on.

“Here!” She finally came to a braking stop and we were here. In a junkyard I had never seen before. It was, well.. it was a junkyard what else can I say. But the pride on chloes face told me it really mattered to her.

“Wow, I've never been to a junkyard before,” I admitted.

“Never?! Well let me give you the tour!” she said as she got out if the truck. I followed but left my board in the truck. We began walking as she pointed to things she spoke about. “That's the boat, and the bus, and here is our shack we hang out in.” She took me to a small brick shack type area with tapestries and a dart board and a mirror. “I come here all the time, so does Rachel.” She told me and pointed at their names on the wall before handing me a marker. “Your turn now,” she had a smile and a sweet caring look in her eyes.

I took the marker and wrote my name under theirs with a small smile. I then felt arms wrap around me in a tight hug.

“This is so cool,” she whispered in my ear. I felt my face heat up as I stood there. She then let go, but grabbed my hand and chuckled. “You're cute you know that right?” She asked. I simply  rolled my eyes and she let go of my hand to cross her arms. “Don't believe me?”

“Not really. I mean you just met me yesterday”

“So? I can still know you're an attractive person, look at you!” She pointed at the mirror but I didn't want to look in it. I just rolled my eyes again.

“Whatever you say Chloe, but you look more badass than me,” I smirked a bit.

“That may be true,” she smirked back at me, “But you're a good second place.” She stepped closer to me and my eyes met hers, “and first place for hotness.” She began to lean closer to me and I felt like I knew what she was trying to do.

I backed up quickly as my face reddened, leaving the girl with a confused look on her face. “Chloe im, not sure I'm ready!” I admitted. “My dad just died and I was dumped and moved here and.. and I'm so confused.” I began to cry. I felt her arms wrap around me.

“Hey hey I get it. I'm not mad or anything. I'm here for you and I can wait.” She comforted me.

“Thank you Chloe.. I do like you and I'm very attracted to you.. But I'm scared,” I told her.

“I get that.. I've never really dated anyone or been interested like this before. And uh, I lost my dad too.” She told me, I liked learning about her.

“Dead dad club?” I asked with a soft chuckle.

“Sounds like it” she chuckled with me. “How about I take you on a real date, I hear the fair will be in town for Halloween next weekend,” she offered.

“I'd love that Chloe” I agreed and kissed her on the cheek.
